Trump has tremendous support in WV and Manchin tries to come across as this moderate but when does he ever buck his party on anything important.
So he floats the idea of a censure for the President just hours before the vote which would still keep the president in office. So when that doesn't go anywhere, he still has the choice of keeping Trump in office or throwing him out and he elects the latter.
Even on the Kavanaugh vote, I think he waited until the very end to see how Susan Collins was gonna vote to see if his vote was gonna be the deciding vote before he voted to confirm. I will bet that had his vote been needed to confirm Kavanaugh, he would have voted no.
The people of WV need to get rid of him.
