In this thread, we give AR some love

It appears he just has to learn to be smarter with the football. He can definitely make all the throws.

If he looks rough against Georgia's defense I am not going to worry about it too much. Next year he should be able to deal with teams like that.

During his recruiting, I posted here that I'd rather have 4-star Richardson, than 5-star Beck.
I'd double down on that today.

To begin the season, as much as I like AR, I'd have started EJ too.
Now that's open, but I still trust Dan to make the correct choices at QB starter.
And no matter who starts, both can still play in the games.

How fast can a QB Whisperer HC go from 'Offensive Genius' to a complete idiot?
Apparently pretty fast when what he's doing is not what or the way the 'know it all' fans want it.

The entire coaching staff should begin packing their bags today, and then head out the door as soon as the regular season ends, just to make those fans happy.....

Yes, he has lots to learn.

How many snaps has he taken?

How many snaps has Matt Corral taken?

AR needs PT. EJ needs pine.

Yep Jones needs to do what Franks did and find a place where there is no strong starter candidate to see if he can improve some.

This 100000%.

He can go to a lower tier school and do amazing.

He is not an SEC starter. He just is not.

Anyone can see it.

I remember you saying that and I give you props. Good call.

First, Beck was a 4 star, not a 5 star.

Second, nobody on the board wanted Beck over Richardson, as Beck doesn't fit in the Mullen offense the way Richardson does. A few people wanted BOTH, which was just a combination of greed and wanting to hurt UGa a bit.

So congrats on, for once, being in tune with the board. Now it's time for you to accept the Board consensus that Grantham is a terrible coach who must go.

Thanks Nic, but that wasn't my first correct guess concerning Gator football.

I wanted Shane Matthews over useless Kyle Morris.
I wanted Danny Wuerffel over Terry Dean.
I wanted Kyle Trask over the incompetent hoard that McLame used instead.
And I'm okay with Dan choosing between EJ and AR, both have both good and bad points.

But the arm chair QB fans always have 20/20 vision when looking backwards....

mom going to look this one up, because it's completely out of your style to criticize ANYBODY until they are no longer apart of the Florida plan.

mans again you lied about star ratings to make yourself seem cool.

I remember when this board was in it's youth and he wanted Brock over Rex.

I'm sure Brock's wins vs UF will be thrown out as "proving he was right" but fail to mention those W's we're against Zook.

And he usually throws out NFL tenures as showing how a QB was elite(Driskel and Franks) but won't bring up Rex's NFL career vs Brock's.

Side note he wanted Brantley over Cam.

This former Patriot executive had high praise for Richardson and wonders why he isn't starting but is probably mixed up on when he can declare for the draft.

Others will have to carry the banners in the future.

I find that I care less and less about Socialist-U everyday, including their sports.

So yawl genius types have the floor to form your fan committee to direct things....

Great Call on Starting AR-15 vs UGly.

AR-15 - 12 of 20 (60.0%) for 82 Yds, 0 TD's, 2 Ints, 2 sacks, L-18
Rushing - 12 for 26 yds, 2.2 YPC, L-9,,, plus a lost Poss. Fum.

With Richardson taking snaps, the Gators were able to muster 173 total yards on 45 plays through just over a half of football, equating to a miserable 3.8 yards per play.

Each of Richardson's 3 turnovers came within a two-minute and 15 second stretch of football before halftime. The result: Georgia extended its lead from 3-0 to an insurmountable 24-0 in that span. --- Essentially Game Over

EJ - 10 of 14 for 112 Yds (71.4%), 0 TD's, 0 Ints, 0 Sacks, L-21
Rushing - 5 for 22 Yds, 4.4 YPC, 1 TD, L-11

The game was basically over when Jones took the field, but he offered the Gators something that Richardson could not on Saturday: A chance to put points on the board. Jones scored UF's lone TD of the game in the 4th-quarter and Florida's offense gained 5.5 yards per play on average once he took over.

The Silver Lining to this loss for me was this:
What EJ did was save UF's Longest Streak in FBS Football History, the No Shut-Outs streak. The last time UF was shutout was 10-29-88 (33 years ago, 418 games) vs 10-2 Auburn (0-16).

So thank you for that Mr. Jones.....

If he is the future he needs to get the reps in. If he is the long term real deal it won't shellshock him.

Leave the 7.8 Million dollar/year QB decisions,,, to the guy that they are paying to make them. It's a small chance I'm sure,,,, but there is still a chance that he knows more about it than the flaky/mouthy fans do....

Summary of Recruiting Problems:

Lack of $$$$$$$$$$
Lack of those that are very good at cheating the system, in a myriad of ways.
Lack of a willingness to do whatever it takes to win, at any and all costs.
Your background is not what makes you what you are,,, it's your choices....

PS
I preferred Berlin over the Gross-man on ethics and morals.
The same goes for Kyle Morris and Doug Johnson.
Note: Three Heisman's, all 3 are the sons of a preacher man....

Well I am banking on him getting AR ready for next season and him willing to play him against GA is a good sign.

QB's Next Season: 2022 (2021 Bio Ht/Wt)

Emory Jones 6-2 211 rsSr EE
Anthony Richardson 6-4 236 rsSo EE

Carlos Del Rio-Wilson 6-2 225 rsFr
Jalen Kitna 6-4 210 rsFr EE

Nick Evers 6-3 188 Fr (EE ??)

In my long experience, there are NO SURE THINGS at any position, on any team.

Jones would be crazy to stay if AR is starting at the end of the season.

Immediately after you denigrate Mullen for starting Richardson (evidently because he didn't take your advice on the matter), you say to leave the decisions to the coach. Just for a change, try for a little consistency. Just a little.

Oh, and btw, scoring a garbage time TD doesn't mean you should have started the game.

Someone will transfer...maybe both.
