While this is not the plague or some superbug, this Reaganite wears a mask to protect you from my germs and me from yours. You'll be in jail, and you should be. Especially since you admitted it wasn't intentional. If your health is in such a state that someone accidentally sneezing could threaten your safety, then YOU are the one at fault for being in public.

If you follow my posts you know I am looking forward to us reaching herd immunity. My son will be in school in person first week of August. I recently changed my mind on bars. Let them open without masks and if people want to chance getting sick fine. I will not be going to one or dining in restaurants. I may have already had the virus. Statistically it is unlikely to kill me. I have never advocated that gubmint mandate masks. Yeah, I think that IS too much to ask. Especially when what you want them to do has been shown by many experts to not help you or them any at all, and COULD actually hurt them.

A mandate isn't legally enforceable because it isn't a law. Laws are passed by legislators.
Now if the business wants to require customers to wear a mask, totally cool with that. As long as they are totally cool with me taking my business elsewhere.

There isnt a single store where mask wearing is even over 50%. Like I have posted, TN gubmint says wear a mask but it isnt mandatory unless a mayor has made it so.
At best we have maybe had 65-75% compliance in the past. I would say its 50% at best. I can not know peoples minds so my tirade at fsu was directed at him because he told me what was in his mind.
Some dumb@ss 30 year old went to a covid party got sick and died. He probably had underlying conditions but he also is helping the media push the panic porn. The young need to be out and about, except in my grocery store, with or without a mask. Had he caught it randomly he wouldnt have made the news. He was being all macho and it killed him and gave the left another narrative.
The young are the path to herd immunity. 10% of deaths in TN are in my age group. I am overweight, and get winded easily. Catch my second wind pretty quick but am not as healthy as I was even 2 years ago. I think I am past the age where I can say sign me up I will risk catching it and take one for the team.

You know, OP, I had the same feeling, and still do, but my wife asked me a simple question when Gov. Abbott of Texas brought a lite-mandate on wearing masks: Do you choose to honor God or yourself? I just looked at her as she said I worship God and therefore should honor my governor even though I disagree with him. So, I wear my useless mask when I go inside buildings with people. I know it's stupid. I know it's worthless, but I do it anyway. It actually removed my pride and allowed me to be more in control of my life. In my clinic I do not wear it or have my patients wear it, but if they come in and are uncomfortable with me not wearing one, I will put it on and treat them.
So, give us your professional opinion on this suggested treatment.

Yep medical community experts have really created a sh&t show with their contradictory statements. Sometimes by the same person within 24 hrs.
And Fox News said mask is at best 65% better than without one. But common sense tells you that coughing or sneezing into a mask releases significantly lest particulate matter into the air than doing so without. Plus it keeps you from accidentally touching your mouth of nose while in public. People are catching this thing somehow! Right?

As for OP, do you understand that wearing a mask isn’t about your health but the health of the people you come in contact with? And do you understand that many of the working poor have no choice but to encounter idiots like yourself? So some working poor cashier has to deal with a bunch of anti mask morons and exponentially increase the chances of either getting sick themselves or bringing the virus home to get their parents or grandparents sick, all so you can... what is your point again?
