Before I run out to purchase a new hat to accommodate my rapidly swelling head, conscience forces me to ask how many Satanists with which you are acquainted.

I studied World Religion when I earned a degree in theology. Buddha had similar quotes to Jesus Christ and they lived during the same time period roughly. However, all the bible study never revealed his name and we are told by the scriptures that Jesus is the only son of God. This is the same God of Abraham that was kin to David and Jesus Christ. Not bad for a guy who had a stroke two years ago and had to relearn how to talk and walk.
Bottom line, I'm not Bill Maher.
I don't think religious people are stupid.
I think stupid people are stupid.
I find that most Christians don't know a lot about religions other than their own and more than a few believe whatever their pastor tells them. And the case of my gig they either don't want to know about it or have been told or believe that exposing themselves to that information imperils their souls.
If that's what the Bible says I have no expectation that they do such a thing.
Basically I'm not looking to have a gotcha moment with you nor argue about which Gods get a capital letter.
You're it, muchacho.Preciate ya.

I agree they are to be shown Jesus' love and passion and once they understand you leave it to their free will to choose. However, I will forever stand firm and fight till the end for Christ and his mission to spread the Gospel. I will not accept rationalization for sin and I seek no approvals from fellow sinners.I think this is the problem that Christians have to deal with: We are told we need to spread the word, but at the same time, we cannot force someone to accept God if they don't want to. At the end of the day, it's not our job to 'force' anyone across any finish line. We should make ourselves available, give a testimony, but if the other person doesn't want to hear that, we need to move on. Staying and forcing the issue won't help us or them. At the end of the day, everyone has to come to God. We can't force them to go where they aren't willing.
That's awesome, congratulations. I think that's what is so hard for the non-believer to understand when we say we KNOW God is real, it's because God has MADE HIMSELF KNOWN TO US. This is how we can so confidently argue that we know what happens after we die on this earth.
It's not about us being 'right', it's about wanting EVERYONE to share in the gift we have been given.
That doesn't surprise me, I expect a theology degree to be well rounded.I studied World Religion when I earned a degree in theology. Buddha had similar quotes to Jesus Christ and they lived during the same time period roughly. However, all the bible study never revealed his name and we are told by the scriptures that Jesus is the only son of God. This is the same God of Abraham that was kin to David and Jesus Christ.
Nor should you. I always hear non-believers tell me reasons why I shouldn't believe in Jesus or that I haven't studied enough about other religions.I agree they are to be shown Jesus' love and passion and once they understand you leave it to their free will to choose. Nobody has any business telling you that. It's none of their damn business.Nor should you. I always hear non-believers tell me reasons why I shouldn't believe in Jesus

I would prescribe a throat punch, repeat as necessary.
I get the argument that if I was raised in China I would probably be a Buddhist, however, there is a growing number of Christians in China and they were raised there.Nor should you. I always hear non-believers tell me reasons why I shouldn't believe in Jesus or that I haven't studied enough about other religions.
All I know is this: Out of all the gods that are supposed to be out there, only one God has made himself know to me. Only God talked to me directly. That's why I believe unconditionally. If the other gods are real, then why didn't they do the same thing?
Well, if I was raised in China I would be Chinese.I get the argument that if I was raised in China I would probably be a Buddhist, however, there is a growing number of Christians in China and they were raised there.
Same way people in the US are more likely to be Christian. But just because someone is a Christian doesn't mean they are only a Christian because someone else told them to be one.I get the argument that if I was raised in China I would probably be a Buddhist, however, there is a growing number of Christians in China and they were raised there.
I believe in God because he speaks to me through his Gospel. To not believe him is to call Jesus a liar. Therefore, I'm betting that sinners are lying and Jesus is the one I am following all the way to salvation.Same way people in the US are more likely to be Christian. But just because someone is a Christian doesn't mean they are only a Christian because someone else told them to be one.
I don't believe based on faith alone. I believe in God because He has confirmed Himself to me. That gives me the faith to believe His word when it comes to the things that He has not yet directly confirmed to me.
