How long before the media starts telling us that....

No worries, you weren't all that off and it's a common misperception.

If people knew the stuff they use, the EXTREMELY toxic chemicals, to process Coca into cocaine or into crack, the casual user might think twice. I can't imagine that a reasonable person would ever try it the first time.

Then again, meth is made completely out of toxic chemicals and certain people can't get enough of it. It's so toxic that it eats your bones. That's why users lose their teeth. But it's doing the same thing to your skeleton.
I was around meth way too much in HS and early college before I either got away from those friends or the ones I had got clean. I grew up in central OK.

Back then they had “peanut butter” meth that looked like playdoh. It was so gross.

But I think people go to meth because it’s so much more “bang for your buck”. It creates this deadly cycle - some of my old friends would tell me they were up for a week before they started seeing things and decided to try to come down. It took a few of them.

Ya know, if Trump had been able to conduct himself in a professional manner while in office, we wouldn't be talking about any of this idiocy.
ZERO truth to this statement. Proof? Name ANY modern day President that got more votes running for re election than they got from the first election. (hint: There is only ONE) Guess who it is? So your statement is EASILY proven WRONG...just like your communist stance on forearms.

I have never even seen cocaine...much less meth.

The first time I saw coke in person I was a Sophomore in HS in Lakeland, FL. A senior leaned over a water fountain and did a bump.

A few months later my best friends dad was indicted by the feds for distribution of cocaine. Of course we were all shocked. A few months after that, the cartel burned his house (mansion) down and killed their dogs.

It was an 80's and 90's sort of thing. It's not good for your health, I'll assure you. ;)
So honestly, the reason I stayed away from it is...I saw GOOD people go down a path where they lost their businesses, family and friends, and they could not kick the habit. I decided if it was THAT good, I had better stay away from it.

Soooo....your best friend's dad ratted on the cartel?

Bold strategy, Cotton.

I don't think he did...but perhaps he cooperated in some way.

It's clear that they thought that he was cooperating or that they thought he might. In retrospect, he didn't enter WITSEC and he survived so I would say no.

I'm terrified of the Cartel.

I watched all the Narcos, so I'm pretty much an expert.

I can't say the same. I dabbled, and enjoyed the experience, even though I knew it was just a fad. Some people can't separate work and play, recreation in moderation vs addiction. Those people have other destructive tendencies, substances just magnify them.

And I do not look down on anyone who played. I was just afraid I would enjoy it TOO much.

A man has to know his limitations. I stayed away for the same reason.

Also, I realized the evil that drug purchases support. Buying cartel merchandise funds the murders of Mexican judges, cops and politicians who tale a stand against it. Here it's mostly just scumbags getting killed...beyond stray bullets.

And today...there are other worries. Fentanyl is killing SO MANY people. But our lefty "friends" have NO PROBLEM with open borders(which are 100% AGAINST our Constitution...however...when have they EVER cared about our Constitution?)

It must have been driving Hunter crazy having to settle for just a little nose candy while at the White House.
