How did Valdez Showers stay his entire career and not make more of a difference?

Looking at Valdez Showers performing at Pro Day - as athletic as he is - how did he not make more of a difference.

He basically did nothing.

He is a smart kid. Never heard anything about him having any sort o behavioral or attitude issues. He looks like a heck of an athlete. Even the analysts are giving him props - despite not really having anything on tape to justify it.
