l like offense as much as anybody but the Big 12 is so so bad defensively that how can you even consider it football. They may as well play 2 hand touch on defense. It’s just not football to me.

Agree. The schemes are atrocious, it’s not just because the offenses are so great like their fans like to parrot. OU stays giving 10-15 yard cushions. West Virginia is running 3-man fronts with 230 lb. ends which makes zero sense. On passing downs they rush 3 and drop 8 giving QB’s all day to pass. Just terrible top to bottom. Those offenses don’t have to earn anything, they just get easy completions up and down the field between the cushions and lack of pass rush.

Yes it is really really bad. There is going to be 75 points and over 700 yards of offense between the 2 teams at HALFTIME!!! That isn’t football.

Ooz I agree with you but why do you think the Rams D has struggled so much since spreading out the offense? Phillips is a good coordinator, and they’ve got some players, although a little banged up in the secondary.

Watching this game just makes me laugh. I could throw for 300 yards against these defenses. It’s basically like 7v7 flag football.

Mostly banged up in the secondary. And also because the NFL is moving towards a Big 12 style of play, they want more points to keep the average fan engaged. You can’t even breathe on QB’s in that league anymore without getting a penalty. Defenders get not only flagged but fined for carrying out form tackles on QB’s. One of the reasons I don’t watch that garbage. College hasn’t gotten that bad yet but it’s getting there.

And that 4th and 5 call by WV is just embarrassingly bad. Let's rush 3 and give the QB a whole day to throw, that'll stop them. Garbage.

The close, high scoring games are exciting. However, I can't respect a team that doesn't or can't play defense. No Big 12 team deserves a chance at the Final 4 until and unless they play defense. But their games are fun to watch.

And what makes you believe that there are any 'real football fans' left in the Big12-10???

LOL,,, that, or be over-rated and over-paid NFL busts... (Bad-ford - Dolt McCoy) :D

And won’t be winning any anytime soon with those garbage defenses. OU last year had the #1 pick at QB and one of the greatest offenses ever and still couldn’t win anything because they couldn’t keep a simple halfback dive from going for 70 yards. Trash.

Agreed. I don’t see the Big 12 winning anytime soon either. Your not winning a national title playing defense like that.

It will be interesting to see what the committee does if the choice for the #4 seed comes down to Oklahoma or Ohio State. My belief is they will choose Oklahoma because they would have avenged their only loss by beating Texas, plus their loss to Texas is a better quality loss than Ohio State's loss to Purdue. Of course, Ohio State would have a better quality win than OK by beating Michigan.
