Things have been quiet of late with 2016 Impact Academy (Sarasota, Fla.) PF Yuat Alok, but I just got an update from a source close to Alok's recruitment.
Things have slowed down due to difficulty obtaining Alok’s New Zealand transcripts. His school New Zealand school "has not been cooperative at all," according to the source.
The 6-foot-10, 200 pound Alok is a native of Kenya and moved to New Zealand when he was nine years old. He holds offers from Florida, Auburn, Georgia Tech and Texas.
Alok attended the Florida-Kentucky game, it was his fourth unofficial visit to Gainesville since October.
Florida assistant coach Dusty May and head coach Mike White are leading Alok’s recruitment and, according to the source, have put the Gators in the drivers seat to land Alok.
"We're waiting to get academics finalized and the Gators are his number one (school)."
