Hole Corruption: FSU reported 9 rape cases to feds when they had 113

And of course they release the info they are bound by law to release late the day before a holiday hoping that it gets little press. The NYT burned the midnight oil to get this out ASAP.

It is unfathomable how Holes continue to defend FSU in the face of so much evidence of corruption. There is a reason they hire politicians as presidents: deflect, spin, lie, etc.

Ah, yes. Walt Bogdanich. Every fifth article he writes is something negative about FSU.

That's not really an exaggeration. If you look at his past articles, they are filled with FSU-related stuff.

Here is a key sentence, that most will overlook:

"Ms. Ashton said the number of sexual battery cases was so much higher than the total that university reported because most of the encounters occurred off campus, and the federal Clery Act, which requires colleges to report sexual misconduct cases as part of its overall crime statistics, did not require that those off-campus cases be included."

Yes on the surface this seems pretty crazy and I honestly have no idea about what is really going on there...in the case of FSU there has been some pretty shocking history of not doing anything about these types of things but I'll say this...we live in a society right now where any allegation makes you a guilty party to whatever the accuser says. These universities are now coming up with some ridiculous criteria on what 'rape' is...some leaders of these universities now claim that rape can be done when, if a guy and a girl were both drinking and drunk...then if the woman later regretted having sex...then that's rape. Some universities have created "Safe Spaces" and "Safe Rooms" where the ultra offended hang out and can go for some of the most ridiculous things...some of the things that allow for people to have a Safe Space minimize real problems. I'm not saying that rape allegations shouldn't be taken very seriously but there are so many people out there that don't really have problems that are looking for the 'green light' to be an a$$hole and to try and get money.

Fortunately, those other universities weren't weren't chosen by the NYTimes to be the symbol of "all that is wrong with college football" for their narrative.

FSU's National Championship, and Winston's rape accusation, came right as the "Rape Culture" media trend was peaking, making FSU the obvious target for "out of control football program" stories. I don't deny that there are problems with this at FSU. I just wish Walt Bogdanich, and his brethren, would stop writing as though FSU is worse than the other big football schools.

So, the fact that the incidents happened off campus exculpates the athletes involved, FSU and the TPD?

Yep, the lib media has it out for fsu. Their target list is (1) Donald Trump (2) fsu & (3) Rush Limbaugh.
It's a little bigger than that. Not surprised you don't get it. Did you miss the whole Rolling Stone UVA rape scandal?

Candy Fisher was so afraid of being sexually assaulted at the FSU campus that she ran to the safe arms AND other parts:) of a Florida Gator.

It's not that the NYTimes has it out for FSU; it's that they have designated FSU as their go-to whipping boy when they want to do a story on problems that are common to all college football schools.

As I mentioned above, I think this is mostly due to timing. FSU just happened to be the talk of the town at the time when the "Rape Culture" trend in media became a common topic point. If FSU was not undefeated, and Jameis not the Heisman front-runner, the NYTimes would have picked another school.

UF had twice as many rapes alleged by students as FSU did and UF reported half as many as FSU reported. Seems like UF has a far worse problem with rape on-campus. Wouldn't want my daughter to go there.

Could she get in if she applied?

Mine could. Already been accepted to Rice, Baylor, UT, Texas State, TCU and Houston. ;)
Like I told a good buddy of mine that graduated from FSU; have your son apply to Florida. Then if he gets accepted, he can be one of the few people that go to FSU that chose to do that over going to Florida, and not just claim to do that.
