Here's where we are...

This whole post is Effing depressing.

How in the hell are we here.

I think I'm finally falling into Gator depression. I will now smoke the remainder of my cigar and sip on some Woodford as I believe it's the only medicine I can take to alleviate this shit show.

No OL recruits. SMGDH.
Spot on.

Mac was hired...almost entirely to fix the offense...

How is this possible?!?!?!?!?!?!

I think Jameis might have wanted to stay another year, but was "encouraged" to leave.
Ya'll need to get your stories straight....we are either a rogue program that will accept a rapist to run our program despite the mountain of evidence against him, or we are a highfalutin school willing to run off the best player in the country because of some unproven innuendo dropped from some coed with a crush on football players. The narrative seems to change depending on the point intended to be made. It's hard to keep straight sometimes.

You and I share a brain

Better get a QB ready for next year because we have a tough schedule. We lose a lot on D.

Jim McElwain held his introductory press conference at Florida on Saturday, and like every coach at an introductory press conference ever, he showed no lack of belief he would succeed in his new job.

But many coaches would likely admit, at least, that they could not win SEC football games starting a canine under center. In response to a question about the Gators' recent quarterbacking woes, though, McElwain revealed that he is not one of those many coaches.

"You got to understand this. I believe I can win with my dog Claribelle," he said. "That's the attitude. There's good players here. That's just our responsibility to get that going."

There seems to be active chatter now that Nuss may be gone even before the bowl game and if not before then after it. Not sure the recruiting situation on offense but I wonder if there could be any reason to wait until after signing day to officially make a change if Mac in fact does make a change there or if making the change could actually help flip some recruits on offense to the Gators.

Where you hearing that? I might just actually drink for once in celebration if its true.

I would suggest finding a place that specializes in traditional cocktails and order an old fashioned with bulleit bourbon.

If i had two beers i'd be like a school girl in twenty minutes all over again...

Just postings but one of the people saying it has been right on pretty specific stuff before seeming to have just a little info from somewhere. I hope he isnt wrong this time.

Is it Paco that posts here that has someone that hears things sometimes with the program. I wonder if he has heard there is real talk of letting Nuss go.

I don't think Nuss is going anywhere. I think Mac's perception of the team's performance is pretty far removed from this board's. I would imagine that he blames most of the offensive struggles on his terrible quarterbacks, and he thinks that winning the East twice in a row insulates him from any real heat. It's not a crazy position at this point. But if the crappy offense continues into next year, things will heat up in a hurry.
