Normally, I would agree with you but we aren’t seeing mass shootings in states that have passed this bill
I would like a more comprehensive list of eligible gun owners that is actually managed accurately.
If a person has spent time in a mental institution, has a pending DV case, is a felon or certain type of active restraining order, those people should not be allowed to purchase or own guns.
Two lists...those who are eligible to purchase and those who are not. This is extremely doable. If you don’t have any of the issues above, you are on the eligible list.

I disagree with you but understand your thinking on this.
I do not want to be on some list managed by the federal government or private sector that gets to determine that law abiding citizens can or cannot exercise their second amendment. Especially when our government doesn’t function correctly, wastes money and rescinds our freedoms. I definitely don’t want a private sector company manage a list of people and then hands over that information to other groups just to be doxxed.
I don’t have a solution to the gun issue but that’s a can of worms that needs to stay shut.
Biden and his Gun Czar targets are law abiding. Biden's Border Czar is pro open border. These are the BSC-AOC types we're dealing with.
I get it but a list like this, with clearly defined guidelines and rules, takes much of the politics and BS out of the calculus.

People in Israel are carrying Styer-Augs with 100 round magazines openly to deter terrorism, yet, we think that's wrong to do the same thing here (it's too military, etc). If you see a guy walking down the street with a six shooter on each hip, you aren’t messing with that guy. The gun deters the criminal.
If you see a guy with no gun, could be an easy target.
Now, if everyone was open carrying or concealed carrying, evidence shows that the likelihood of a shooting drops dramatically.
For me, if I’m in a grocery store and hear gun fire, I will protect as many as I can because I’m carrying. I feel if you’re going to open or conceal carry, it is your duty to protect others in harms way.
Now I know some or many may not feel the way I do but I feel it would be my responsibility as a gun owner to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
What Biden is trying to do is dangerous as I feel like I said in a previous post, we’re opening a can of worms that needs to stay shut.
Biden’s plan for gun control would eliminate me legally from buying a gun because I do suffer from depression and take medicine for it. However, I’m not a threat to anyone nor myself. There could be millions of people just like me that now can’t buy guns because we have a moron as president who doesn’t understand anything regarding guns or gun ownership responsibility. Hell, he has a wreck less offspring who broke the law when purchasing a gun.
I am also unable to purchase a weapon because our great nation placed me on a watch list after 9/11 after I was drug off a research ship in Boston harbor (suspected of arranging a terrorist plot). We were detained and eventually released but because I got aggressive with Harbor Police that basically assaulted me during the process that I was placed on a watch list. To this day I can't purchase a gun but I can carry and own guns, it's ridiculous.

And if you’re crazy enough that the fact that everyone having a gun doesn’t matter to you, then it doesn’t matter what it takes to carry concealed, you’re gonna shoot up the place regardless.

In their Oath of Office, government officials take a 'Sacred Oath' to support and defend the Constitution, not to change or ignore it. That's what traitors and tyrants do.
The NRA, nor any other organization, protects my God given rights.
I and my fellow FREE American citizens are the ones that do that, and always have.

When the 2nd Amendment was written, the citizens had the unalienable right to the same weapons that the governments Army had. That was to insure that no oppressive government could steal our Freedoms.
This was in response to our founders fleeing the abuses of a 'Royalty' government with armed Knights and unarmed peasants.
The 2nd Amendment has ZERO to do with hunting or sport shooting.
A large part of why no other country's army has ever attempted to invaded the U.S. is because we have the largest standing Army (armed citizens) in the world. Makes me wonder (not really wondering) why the current Socialists in DC want to disarm American citizens.....
People who abuse their armed citizen rights are criminals and should be dealt with as such.

True enough, but look at the difference in the battleground states, Independent votes for Jo Jorgenson were the difference in votes between Trump and Biden. I think it's safe to say that those voters would have voted for Trump and not Biden if a conservative independent didn't run. I don't believe we have 81 million registered Democrats either. That's a bogus number for certain.

However, the dumps would have been a little larger, the weighted scale on votes would have been a little more in Biden’s favor, a few more flips from Trump to Biden would have happened....the only proof you should need that there was no way in hell Trump was going to be able to win is 81MM. That may be true when the list and rules are new but the politics will seep in eventually. A politician will rewrite the rules and expand the “cannot” list. This issue like most needs to stay at state levels. If New Yorkers only want cops to come to their rescue when they’re in danger that’s fine. They can squash their constitutional rights in every vote. But their worship of authoritarian govt should not degrade the rights of people in Wyoming who want to be able to protect themselves before law enforcement arrives. This country is too large and diverse in culture to keep trying to make every law a draconian cookie cutter for every state.

Mass shooting I'm not worried about as much as the emotional dem packing heat that loses his or her cool against an unarmed customer.
For instance, how many viral videos did we see over the last year of Karens going around WalMart or Home Depot harassing someone for not wearing a mask?
