We're excited because we finished in the top ten...just as well as your team and nobody thought that something like that was possible. Our recruiting has improved and we are seeing that Mullen can develop a team, good hires/organization and a coach that doesn't make bone head in game mistakes. Stop projecting like some high school girl.
This is a well though out & respectable post. I agree with most, except I think your recruiting needs to improve a bit. Your 16 & 17 classes averaged 11.5 just like your 18 & 19 classes per 247 - I know this is a rivals site. Your friends on another thread could learn a thing or two from you.

Agree... except all coaches make mistakes at some point and except Grumpy is a good guy.
We think our recruiting needs to improve too! Trust me! Get an urban Meyer for a few years and your expectations get blown all to hell! But given where we’ve been, the last couple classes have us ecstatic. A top 10 class that’s well balanced and meets a program’s needs is a far cry from what we had. Even muschamps highly rated classes were lopsided. Getting good players on both sides of the ball is going to closeness the gap pretty quickly. I get that you guys can’t show any weakness, esp on a rival board, but you have to admit you felt a whole lot better when we had mcelwain.
I think Mullen has you on the right track and will certainly make the games in Jax much more competitive moving forward. There’s no doubt the guy knows what he’s doing. Like Kirby, he’s placed a heavy emphasis on strength/conditioning and from what it looks like, made a good hire to run your strength program...that’s key.
I agree. Strength and conditioning are huge in a Los league. I’ve mentioned to Gwinnett dawg that while you have t give smart a lot of credit for recruiting, I do think Tennessee and UF being down made uga an easier sell. I think with some success we’ll all be a little closer in that area. I think you guys will still be the better team next year, but I think you’re gonna get a battle from us. Beating you guys next year would be a selling point for any team in the east. You’re going to get everyone’s best shot, and that’s when it gets tough. We learned that when SOS was here and with Meyer too. Any let down and you’re in a fight. I think the past couple seasons you’ve been able to roll people. Hell, in ‘17 I don’t think anyone on our sideline thought they had a chance against you. If nothing else I don’t think that’ll be the case anymore, and not just with us. Have an off night against Kentucky or Missouri, even vandy, and they’ll lay out if their heads. So if you can beat us by 2 tds (or 3 as Gwinnett says) then hats off. But it’s going to be a ballgame from now on, imo. But Kirby has definitely made the best of the situation so far

You should maybe dig deeper. You realize you’re comparing two full classes of McElwain to one transition class and then one full class for Mullen right? Thats silly and the only reason the averages are the same, which I’m sure you knew. If you include McElwain’s transition class the way Mullen’s is included his average is actually 15. And Mullen’s transition class, which is the worst class a coach usually has, was ranked higher than all but one of Mac’s classes. As a matter of fact Mullen’s transition class was the highest rated transition class for UF since they began keeping track of rankings, not even Meyer did better.
And the quality of the classes are not even remotely close. McElwain’s average per recruit was 3.42, so far Mullen is at 3.71. For comparisons sake Meyer was at 3.64 through his first two classes. Yet Mullen can’t recruit. Oh and In Mullen’s transition has a higher average rating than EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of McElwain’s classes. So Mullen performed better in two months than McElwain was able to do with a full
Period to recruit. McElwain signed 32 blue chips in 3 classes, or an average of 11 per year. Mullen has already signed 29 in just two classses, or an average of 14.5. I could keep going but all that should make it clear by now you don’t have the slightest clue what you’re talking about. But this has become the norm, you throw around half ass ‘facts’ then accuse other people of throwing tantrums or picking on you when you get called out.

If you could read you’d see the facts presented show Mullen’s classes are much better. The classes aren’t in the same ballpark in terms of quality. McElwain’s classes had lots of filler. I’m not angry for correcting you. Do better.
And lol@ any top notch recruiter should be pulling in top 5 classes regularly. His first full class just finished 8. So those whole 3 spots moves him from being top notch to not good enough? And that’s not even taking into account your ranking is not only a function of what you do but what your competitors do. There are some years where the the same exact points get you a top 5 class and then in others the same it may have you ranked lower because of the quality of classes ahead of you. What a silly take. And like I showed above the quality through his first two classes is actually better than Urban’s first two by average rating.

Anyone that wears Air Jordan’s with slacks is going to be a mediocre recruiter. We’ll agree to disagree on this one. My guy had the number one class in year two and three, outdoing the greatest recruiter of all time. I just happen to think Florida can/should do better in that area.
Do they pay taxes on the planet you come from? I don't really care about what happened so much when Mullen was at MSST, he had serious issues getting the players there to really compete well, but compete he did. And in 2018 Dan spanked Beavers ass all around the stadium in Jax showing him how you really coach a team, it was just mistakes in ball handling and his missing CBs which handed Kirby a narrow victory. SO exactly when and how has kirby made Dan his whipping boy I wonder?
