I was skeptical of the ”Pee Pee” tape claims. I do, however, believe that Trump has engaged in criminal activity involving Russia.
Mueller’s statement:
“This report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him,” the report found. Mr. Mueller on Wednesday emphasized this in his remarks, saying, “If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.”
Also:
“There were multiple systematic efforts to interfere in our election. That allegation deserves the attention of every American,”
Mueller did not charge the president with a crime because he concluded that a sitting president cannot be charged, not because he thinks Trump is innocent.
’”Under longstanding department policy, a president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional—even if the charge is kept under seal and hidden from public.”’
Robert Mueller said if he had confidence President Trump didn’t commit a crime, he ‘would have said so’ in his report on Russian interference on the 2016 election, suggesting it was Congress’s job to accuse a sitting president of wrongdoing.
