I was in the same boat. I would have voted for almost anyone over Shillary. My vote turned out better than I ever hoped for.

I was absolutely convinced that we had no shot when we nominated Trump.

I am convinced it was divine intervention. I voted for Trump as the lesser of two evils thinking a shrewd businessman might just do okay because he doesn't need the money and world business is really what foreign diplomacy is.

There's no reasonable way to make this argument. He wasn't very well supported in the primaries and that would have affected his ability to win in the general.

And there's just no evidence that Jeb would have inspired anyone.
