Expanding on this, it is always moving when you get the rare time when fans recognize that games are just games and acknowledging others and easing their grief is simply universal

Mocking other schools or their fans, especially doing it incessantly, has to wear people out. Try this style more often, and that is aimed at all

This is a bit unrelated but I still cry over Chuckie Mullins and Memphis. He played for Mississippi and was injured in a game with Vanderbilt. Terrific documentary on Brad Gaines on 30 for 30.

But he was taken to Memphis for treatment after the injury and remained here for quite some time. Like having a moment of grace for no other reason than easing Coach Anderson’s pain (and bringing more awareness to breast cancer) Chuckie was just a college kid whose family was in pain and seeing him embraced by Memphis, both city and University, was a big deal back then
