Good Article on the Mullen offense

Definitely good stuff. I like how you can see Jones running the exact same plays Mullen was running. That's why I've been wanting a spread offense it's plug and play since almost all the high schools run it now. It probably cuts the learning curve in half if not more. I really wanna see them move Toney back to QB and give him a decent look too. Been calling for that ever since that throw vs UK. If it doesn't work out can always move him back to WR.

No matter which QB wins the starting job for 2018, I don't see him running the ball a whole lot. Maybe just 5-10 times a game unless the defense forces it with their choices. -- Why? --

#28 RB Lamical Perine 5-11 218 Jr - short yardage, 4.7 ypc 8 TD's
#25 RB Adarius Lemons 6-0 201 So - 7.2 ypc
#26 RB Malik Davis 5-11 194 So - 6.7 ypc
#10 RB
Dameon Pierce 5-11 205 Fr
#11 Ath Iverson Clement 5-11 199 Fr (RB/KR/S)

#12 RB Jordan Scarlett 5-11 206 rsJr 5.0 ypc (K-9, suspended indefinitely)

I hope that Scarlett moves on for 2018.

In a forum first, I am now going to do something no one has ever done before:

Insta, what's Toney's stats when he has the ball?

chuckle,,,
but no, you're not the first...

He's good to go on most plays,,, if he gets the blocking help, or if he gets the ball on a pass play out in the open field.
I've posted his rushing stats before, and you should be able to access them with ease for yourself. o_O

He was only 50% throwing, but then he only threw it twice.
What was the purpose behind your question,,, what are you trying to get at?

I was usually drunk but I recall him making some some long 3rds into short fourths, and occasionally first downs. But hes only a RS Fr right?

:D :D :D

Toney was a true Fr in 2017.

He had 225 yards from scrimmage (118 rushing; 107 receiving) and a touchdown on 23 touches five games into the season. (a quick take from an article)

He was slowed down by a shoulder injury around mid-season, but he was on fire before that.

If memory serves me, he averaged 8-9 ypc when running the ball in 2017.
=======

EDIT
Had some earlier appointments, but my own curiosity got to me EW, so I looked it up for ya on the official Gator Stats site, and here's what I got:

In tFr Toney's 8 Games played (shoulder injury).

Rushing - 14 for 121 yds, 8.6 ypc, long 36 yds, 1 TD

Receiving - 15 for 152 yds, 10.1 yds/rec, long 23 yds, 0 TD

Passing - 1 of 2, 50%, 0 TD, 0 Int, his one completion was for 50 yds.

Kick Return - 1 for 15 yds.

I still think that he could be Harvin Lite in Mullen's offense...
Get him the ball in the short open field and let him work some magic.
