Global warming is happening, but as Scott Bessent said (brilliantly), "yeah, as you are monkeying around here in the U.S., and unilterally crippling our energy independence, China is setting up 100 new coal plants next year."
For me this is ALL about fairness. Unilateral disarmament and then becoming wholly dependent on China for critical materials is idiotic.

Global warming as a religion is a contrived hoax. Weather patterns have changed for thousands of years, prior to any activity due to man. Prior to our very existence. Anthropegenic warming is a joke. EVs have their purpose, but have serious range limitations, which are real and not worth it in most cases unless you only need a range of 100 miles. Solar is bullshit, especially considering the cost of having it installed on your roof, those people are retarded idiots that fall for that, cost vs utility. Consider replacement of batteries, and you are effed, not to mention what happens when you need a new roof. 😂 Solar is fine for lighting or such, but little else practically.

I disagree here and whenever you dump tons of stuff into an environment (e.g. Covid funding that drives debt, CO2), bad stuff is going to happen. You see it in average snow falls (I am a big skier).
Saying, "hey, today is cold" is like saying, "well, there were no shootings in Chicago AND Mayor Johnson did not try to screw his citizens last Wednesday, thus, all is good". Yeah - no.
The religion is what do you do about it and how many liberties, unilaterally, do you strip from Americans while China and India can do whatever they please.
On Solar - your points are good. In some regions, Solar make a ton of sense. I have friends in Arizona who have five climate zones for AC, misting and their electrical bill would be through the roof.
They also love it for the libertarian view. They can put the middle finger to an administration who is not supportive on energy prices (as we just saw).
I live in West Michigan, it's, at best a 15 year payoff, but it has some benefit. We are likely to just get a Generac to handle things when we get a downed power line. (right now I use a 16 year old portable generator to fire up a sub-panel)
Wind, especially offshore is an abomination.
So, I think Solar is a valuable tool in the tool kit, but that is it.
