Didn't read but I found this interesting (stolen from another board)
NYC banned large soft drinks because they are bad for your health.
Ok...seems a little commie but they are crappy for your health.
However, NYC (the city itself) just set up a bunch of vending machines that dispense free Naloxone (narcan), safe sex kits along with free crack pipes and other assorted drug paraphernalia.
More than 16 ounces of Dr. Pepper will kill you...but here's a crack pipe. LOL, how do people not recognize the monumental stupidity of governance in that city?

Narcan can kill you if you take it when you don't need it.
And crack cocaine is an illegally manufacturered derivative of a schedule 1 narcotic.
At least with needles there's a attached health risk, but people don't share crack pipes because they're disposable and they're disposable so you can instantly dispose of them when you're fleeing and eluding law enforcement. The mental and legal gymnastics that went into this are astonishing.
None of that is as bad for you as 17 ounces of Dr. Pepper apparently.
