Sully has really owned our in state rivals. 7-5 over canes tonight in new ballpark. Canes scored 4 in 9th to make it a little interesting. Gators have now won 18 of last 22 against Miami.

Well, they're blowing the game today. Scored 5 in the first and had an 8-3 lead after 6 innings and now trail 10-8 in the bottom of the 13th. Sully left reliever JC transfer Aleman in in the top of the 9th, starting the inning with an 8-5 lead. The guy proceeded to walk 5 batters and hit 1, only getting 1 out before being taken out. I have never seen O'Sullivan stick with a pitcher who was that wild. Our bullpen has been bad the first 2 games. We hadn't scored since the 6th inning, but now have 1 in and 2 on with 1 out in the bottom of the 13th. 10-9 score.
Very mind numbing loss today. Blow big leads. Almost did the same last night. Sully needs to bet the pen settled. Need to get the rubber game tomorrow.
Mace & Leftwich get a lot of accolades, but I've been watching them their entire careers and they throw too many pitches. We've lucky when we get 5 innings out of them. And that stretches the bullpen. Logan Shore was our Friday night starter for 3 years and it was rare that he didn't go at least 7 innings and he often threw a complete game. That saves the bullpen for the rest of the weekend and gets less exposure for the other team to see our best relievers. Sully is a great coach and recruiter and today's loss was very un-Gator-like. But being consensus #1 puts a lot of pressure on the guys and fires up every team we'll face.
First series loss to the canes in a long time. I believe we had won 13 of the last 14 series against miami. Tough start, but lets see how this plays out. Need some bullpen help for sure.
