GATORS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!!!

Tremendous resilience and defense. A reflection of our coach and the quality team he put together.
Other than Clayton who is a superstar, we still have 6 guys who grade out at A minuses. That is a HUGE advantage and we flat out wore out other teams with massive depth, including a bunch of B + bench warmers. That kind of depth wears out other teams when you push the ball up the court at mach 1 the entire game. The results are in!

Totally disagree. The Technical foul was justified. You can't do what he did and Coach Golden never protested it. The officials let them bang each other the first half and then started calling evrything the second half. We adjusted better to the refs than they did. Houston was called for 19 fouls, Florida 11. We were 17-21 from the free throw line, they were 9-14. To call out the refs is STUPID!. We won the game at the free trow line and are national champs and we did it playing Houston's style of play. Quit bashing the refs and just appreciate the fact that the Gators are national champs!!!
Ocalaman, I hope you don't mind me bringing your post here.
What up, Fevered Brain! Err, @Gator Fever

That's fine. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. I love Gov. DeSantis. Over the entire game, the refs called a fair game and Florida benefitted by that. But to each his own. I know for a fact that the Gators are the national champs and the expert panel on CBS said we won the game at the foul line by adjusting better to the refs in the 2nd half than Houston did. 19 fouls on them, 11 on us. If the governor and others think that proves the refs favored them over us, I'll say OK, but it don't make sense to me. Facts don't lie.

Yeah, it's all over now, so I'm just having fun with these tweets.

Awesome win. Incredible comeback once again.

Insane ending to win a title. They earned that title. One of the most physically and mentally tough Gator teams sadgator has seen in any sport. They will have their own special place in our history and hearts.

Special shout out props to Richard and Condon for keeping us alive in the game until the others got it rolling at the end…

Astounding effort all around. Amazing total team win.

Golden signed a contract extension last month to last till 2030.....but hes still 12th in the highest paid coaches in the SEC at 4 million a year.

John Calipari is at 8 million yearly. 10 other coaches are past the 5 million mark.

In order to keep Golden, UF's going to need to open its wallet...and frankly Golden is worth it.

If I were the AD, I would bump it to 6.5 million yearly.

I think given what they had to overcome and how many great teams they had to beat along the way they are our greatest basketball team ever.. Back 2 backs had the greatest talent and dominance overall, but this one single year this team accomplished more in a different way.. This is one of the all time great Championship teams in college basketball history if you ask me. Winning the SEC Tournament and then a historic all 1 seed Final Four? How can you not argue this is one of the greatest college teams ever?

Also.. Thank GOD for Will Richard for FINALLY hearing our prayers for him to finally be the x factor when we knew we weren't gonna win this whole thing if he didn't finally show up.. This is what made this a great Championship team, because if he didn't finally show up tonight we are not National Champions.. period

It was always somebody all year that picked up the slack and that's why they were great all year and are now immortals. I've been Lucky to witness Florida win all of their Championships in my lifetime, even saw a few in person.. But this one, to me is the most special of them all because of this group of kids. I'm so happy right now and for those wonderful kids and staff, this was a true team like the 04's.

He can have whatever he wants, he's a made man now at a basketball royalty school. This Final Four and National Championship is starting to put us up in that blue blood tier now I don't give a shit what anyone says.. We've been the Flagship of the SEC in basketball for this century. Kentucky has won 1 single championship since 1998.. We now have three in the last 18 years and 6 Final Fours, only a few blue bloods have as many wins in the tourney than us in the last 25 years now.

Since 1999 we have as many Championships as Duke and North Carolina and more than Kansas and Villanova.
Three Championships
Four Final Game Appearances
Five Final Fours (7-2 in such games)
Nine Elite Eights
13-3 against top three seeds
Won the best conference ever

I don't think it was quite as bad overall as some say this game. They started calling it tighter in the 2nd half while in the first half they let players be more physical. A couple of tourney games we got hosed though.

Kentucky is still the best program in the SEC. That is fine. Their football and baseball programs are crap. UF on the other hand has national titles in those sports in this century.

Arkansas is the best at track in the SEC. UF has however won Indoor AND Outdoor, Men's AND Women's NCs in this century.

UF has been good at everything, not just one thing. Except for women's hoops, we can't figure that $hit out.

I think UConn may be the only team with more championships than UF since the 2000 tournament (past 25 years). I think Duke and NC have 3 also in that period. I think there are only around 4 teams with more Final Fours than our 5 in that 25 year span.
