At some point don’t you just drop into zone coverage, keep eyes on qb and ball??

I still can't believe we gave a QB 600+ yards with over 200 of it on the ground.
For reference,
Mike Vick threw for 225 and ran for 97 in the BCS championship game vs FSU. Lamar Jackson took us to the woodshed with what seemed like an impossible 215 passing and 146 rushing.
instead of 3rd and Grantham we have 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Armstrong.
We had 3rd and Kelly preceded by false start out of a time-out. Felt like an eternity.

The 85 yard run was a bizarre play. First off only 3 guys on the entire left side of field, and then we looked to be running at about half speed.....except for the 1 guy that was getting blocked...
Agree - To successfully play man to man defense, you have to have great cover guys, plus a defensive front that gets consistent pressure on the QB, as well as sure tacklers. We simply don't have the talent to play the type of defense that our coaches are running, IMO.
Just think of what the carnage would have been like if our offense hadn’t stayed with them for three quarters.
