Same thing happened the last time he tapped the SR, an immediate price hike.

@CFAGator told me Hiden had nothing to do with the oil supply in this country or price of gas. Not sure I believe him.

Nope, just drove by 3 stations, just this morning regular unleaded has jumped .20 cents from $3.59 to $3.79 ….. I just can’t tell you happy I am knowing Robinette has my back.

So, my wife and I are visiting our son in college this weekend. We took him to one of our favorite places for breakfast this morning. The food and service were very good as usual.

When we got the check, there was a line item for “Supply Chain Surcharge”. It was 8.5% assessed prior to sales tax.

Thankfully I had cash in my wallet; I gave the server a cash tip and put “No Tip” on the Automated iPad screen. I wasn’t about to give an automated percentage of an amount that had an artificial surcharge tacked on.

The server gave me a card explaining their policy, which is “in lieu of price increases” on the menu. They claim the surcharge will eventually be done away with. We'll see

Sorry for the rant but this is a totally new thing and I have a bad feeling it won’t be the last time I see this.

Yep its BS. I remember lawn service companies using the fuel surcharge nonsense instead of just saying what the total cost was.
