FSU has 9 three stars committed

Probably some actual talent evaluation going on rather than blindly collecting 5-stars.

Productive 3-stars under Jimbo

Xavier Rhodes (NFL)
Dustin Hopkins (NFL)
Bryan Stork (NFL)
Bjoern Werner (NFL)
Clint Trickett
Terrence Brooks (NFL)
Jacob Coker (National Championship)
Terrance Smith (NFL)
Lamarcus Brutus (NFL)
Menelik Watson (NFL)
Roberto Aguayo (NFL)
Nate Andrews
Bobo Wilson
Ryan Izzo
Mavin Saunders
Nyqwan Murray

There is a list way longer than that with 3 stars who have done nothing.

Not saying that 3 stars cant have an impact because look at all those names u mentioned but statistically, 4 and 5 star players have a better chance of having a good college career. I had research on this at one point but i cant find it. Feelsbadman.

I understand what u posted is true and jus becuz they are a 3 star player doesnt mean they suck but overall players have a higher chance of success in college and in the nfl if they are a 4 star or 5 star.

I would like to see are we taking those players because they are the best available that we can get or if they are higher up on our board.

Dude we have the 6 best class right now and will land LB Jones DT Wilson and CB Grey. The class will be at 3 or 4. Every class needs a few 3 star guys. Some of this kids redshirt and create quality depth when injuries happen. Some may even turn out better then the 4 star guys. On the flip side some of those 3 star guys won't make it at that level. Unless your Bama every school has there share of 3 star guys. The most important part is having 4 and 5 star guys at key positions like QB, DE DT. Sit back and enjoy a great Jimbo finish.

Our class is really good. There are always three stars in the class. You just hope a good number are higher on our coaches boards than the folks at Rivals and the other sites. Our recruiting isnt on the down swing.

Rather than pay attention to stars, pay attention to when the coaches took them. If you want to pay attention to stars though just use common sense. There's a difference between a 3-star your staff chased early and took over higher ranked prospects at the same position and a 3-star your staff offered closer to signing day after they struck out on some people.

Why are you posting this over here?
Because he hates every single FSU fan. He loves to watch the Noles from home alone on his 160" HD projection screen...which was purchased with his millions of engineering money...while his smok'n hot gator-wife serves him PBR in a golden goblet.

Garnet & Gold? Doesn't own a single item in fear that some mouth-breathing, stump humping Nole will greet him with a Tomahawk chop in pubic.

...or so he claims.

Everything u said is correct except the last part. I own tons of Garnet and gold stuff.

That and going by the offer list.

Again, cane fan. Go post on your own board. That's right, you got bored posting with three other people.

This is the worst troll handle on the Rivals network.

How many dicks have you sucked, be honest?

Zero only becuz brad pitt or tom brady has not asked yet.

We do have 9 three stars and Al Golden did use to recruit a bunch of them. How is it trolling if its true

We(as in fsu) jus snagged another recruit today. Sorry bud, u dont dictate anything here. Absolutely zero. No power or influence

10 three stars and counting....yikes. Jimbo spending to much time with his new bombshell gf i guess. I can see jimbo now, should i go visit this 5 star or slay the dragon and get a 3 star......easy decision for him i guess

and the third most 5-star recruits of any school in the country. UF would KILL for Jimbo's incoming class. ...also, don't forget this wasn't a senior-heavy class so we're also struggling for room to fit 25 ships.

Oh absolutely its a good class but i also enjoy recruiting and seeing how things pan out. Stars dont matter individually becuz there is a ton of examples of good 3 stars but when u collect them 10 at a time this early its easy to wonder are these guys our targets or are they the "easier" guys to get to commit. Do we really feel like these guys are that good or are we certain we just cant get better players? I dont know.

This is a thread about FSU started by an FSU fan (or a guy with a FSU handle) so really no need to turn it into one of the 999th Mac recruiting thread.

But here. What Ooz thread can relate to Mac or 120 plus coaches across the NCAA.

Coaches evaluate and recruit players early. Many come to camps on campuses. The coaches themselves are impressed by certain recruits despite their star rankings. They offer the kids early. The kids commit. The kids are ranked three stars and remain three stars. When a three star is offered and commits in June and keeps an offer and remains committed in January the coaches must have and still do really want this player.

When you are getting down to the nitty gritty and offer a 3 star in mid-late January, it appears to be a more of desperation move.

It's simple. Nothing more... Nothing less. No need to start another Mac discussion on recruiting.

Another factor is which recruiting rankings are you looking at? Take Tamorrion Terry (WR) for instance. On ESPN he's a 4-star, but with Rivals he's a 3-star. Anyone who's watched film on this kid knows he's a 4-star (6'4" 240lbs), but I don't think he attended any Rivals' Camps, so he gets a 3-star. Given that's just one example, but I'd say over-all, FSU's 3-stars are a mixed bag of intentional targets, underrated players, and back-up options due to decisions by previous targets.

ESPN has FSU with 10 4-star and 6 3-star commits, so there's that.

Regardless, of recruiting source, the good news is, this coaching staff knows how to develop individual talent. X's and O's leave me scratching my head at times, but they clearly develop players for the NFL.

Under your current Identity you have less than 600 posts. You came here with virtually none. You post like a fiend. If you were around these boards for a long time...you'd have a bigger post count. You reminiscing about a long time poster tells us you are remembering your days as someone else. What's your prior screen name?

You do realize I have over 3k posts on this account right?
