So the draft is over and all we've heard about for years is how dominant FSU recruiting is. For the most part this draft encompassed recruiting years 2012 - 2014 (True Jrs.-Redshirt Soph through Redshirt Srs.). Here is FSU's recruiting stats (per Rivals) those years:

Year------- Ranking-------- # of Recruits------ Avg. Star Rating
2012----------- 6 --------------------19 ------------------ 3.79
2013-----------10 -------------------21 ------------------ 3.57
2014----------- 4 --------------------28 ------------------ 3.61

Total/Avg.--- 6.7 ----------------- 68 ------------------ 3.66

From the time the recruits signed on the dotted line until the 2016 NFL draft they effectively had 68 recruits eligible to go to the NFL this year and they ended up with ONE non-kicker drafted. I haven't dug into their roster to figure out what happened to all their recruits but I thought those numbers were pretty incredible.

Would love to hear what others think and yes I'm aware that we've lost to them 5 of the last 6 years. Pretty hard to win games with atrocious offense, QBs and no kicker. I'm also aware that they appear to have a lot of young talent available next year and beyond based on their perceived recruiting successes.

However, this looks like it could be a player development issue (ala Muschamp). Take away Jameis' two years, and taking into account playing in the extremely weak ACC, I'm not so sure how great Jimbo really is.
