Could be the weakest in the nation!!! They play Jacksonville St. this week a 31-0 loser to U.A.B. last week, U.Mass one of the worse teams in the nation, Wake, Louisville who lost, Miami who Alabama spanked hard, ( well the Noles might like that ), Syracuse and the only two teams ranked in the A.CC.. they play are both 0 - 1 and that’s Clemson who scored 3 points vs. Georgia and North Carolina who lost 17 - 10 to Virginia Tech. We are the only team 1 - 0 in the top 25 they are yet to play.

BTW, Jacksonville St. managed all of 155 yards versus U.A.B..

The ACC is really bad. The perception of the conference probably worsened based on how the ACC did in week 1. I’m actually curious to see how Miami and UNC recover from their week 1 losses because they were supposed to have pretty good teams this year. Clemson doesn’t play anybody so their record is going to look good at the end of the season.

I think Clemson may stay at 1 loss but I think the others are going to lose at least 3 or more games. FSU's limit is probably 7 wins.

It's ranked 12th toughest. The ACC is very good this year. We will play 6 ranked teams. Didn't USF get beat by an ACC team 45 to 0? NC State is better than people think and we will find out today how good they are because they play an SEC team. Miami was expected to get a beat down. Can't wait to compare that score to when Bama plays the SEC teams. Clemson is definitely worse this yr than years past because they no longer have an elite QB. UNC was the only team who surprised me and I'm not sure if that's because V tech is good or UNC is just worse than everybody thought. They still have the top QB in the country who will be drafted 1st overall. Fsu doesn't look completely lost but don't think we win more than 6 because of our schedule

Sorry, no, it's not ranked 12th toughest.

That was a preseason ranking based on last year's results. Now that we are in season, your SOS will fluctuate week to week based on current results. Having said that, I will note that one week is too small a sample size from which to make any conclusions. But the early returns are not great.

Besides, you have to take SOS with a grain of salt. See, most of any conference teams' SOS is based on how their conference opponents do against each other, so FSU's SOS is artificially strengthened each year because when 2 ACC teams play, somebody has to win, whereby UF's is artificially weakened each year, because when two SEC teams play, somebody has to lose.

The ACC sucks this year. Embarrassing performance in Week 1 from that conference. I think the conference went 7-7 in the first week. Quite possibly worse than last year because & it doesn’t help that Clemson looks to be taking a step or two. backwards. We will see if the ACC improves.

I wasn't impressed with any conference in week 1. I was only impressed with Bama.

Ok that’s fine but the SEC was 12-2 in the opening weekend and had the best start of any conference with also the most ranked teams and the most top 10 teams. Bama is Bama and Saban has them as a well oiled machine.

Most played weak matchups. Weeks 1 is always weird. We will see, I don't think the ACC has that top 4 team this yr. Which is a good thing for us, we need more winnable games but I do think we have 5 or so good teams.

The SEC is going to take quite a few losses this week due to the matchups and possibly upsets also.

Meh. It's hard to judge after just week one, but looks lame to me. Maryland might be a sleeper though because of their QB.

That was before the season began. Tell me how your opponents are doing now? We play #’’s 1 and 2 still and you?

Opponents are doing fine. Easily a top 15 most difficult schedule by the end of the yr. Georgia looked as impressive as Clemson (which is not at all). They didn't even score an offensive td. Bama looked impressive. NC state looked better than most thought. Miami easily should have gotten floored. The only team that surprised me was UNC because UNC has been recruiting well.

This will probably be the one week you can make fun of some of the SEC.

Worry about Jacksonville State!

NC State is likely going to lose to Miss St. That is a bad loss for them and the ACC. Miss St is one of the worst teams in the SEC.

Pitt beat Tenn.... yikes. Arky beating Texas.... Can't believe the SEC would let them in

Yeah Tennessee will probably be the worst team in the SEC other than Vandy and South Carolina. I wasn’t surprised by that Pitt win. Anytime UT loses is good with me.
That will be a big win for Arky. The SEC is incredible right now. SEC could have 8 teams in the top 25. Insane. Can you imagine how insane it is going to be with OU and Texas in the conference? Yikes!

Lmao I honestly think you care more about the SEC than the Gators. It's an unhealthy obsession. I'm glad Miami is losing to app state.

No I care about the Gators much more than the SEC but with that being said the SEC is ridiculously tough and yes sometimes that isn’t a good thing either because obviously it is much more difficult to win. Although it makes for good football games and I’m a fan of the pageantry and traditions that the SEC beings. There is nothing like the SEC games & rival games in the SEC. I miss the UF/Auburn rivalry.

And yes Miami isn’t very good and is overrated yet again. I was hoping they would have lost.

I like watching the SEC as well. It's good football.

Miss. St., one of the weaker SEC teams this year, dominated NC State tonight, who people said after last week might be a challenger to Clemson in the ACC. Notre Dame had to come from behind in the last 90 seconds to edge out Toledo. Miami struggled mightily to barely beat Appalachian State and Jacksonville St. gave FSU a tough game. The ACC was supposed to be very good this year, but after the first 2 weeks they look terrible as a whole. Bama is the king of the SEC, no doubt, but Georgia is a real challenger this year, Arkansas beat up on #15 Texas, Ole Miss & Auburn look to be really good as well. Pitt beat Tennessee in Knoxville, which I loved to see, but the Vols have been underachieving ever since Fulmer was forced out. Overall the SEC seems even stronger than usual.

You are right about Tennessee. They have been terrible ever since Fulmer left. I don’t see them being good anytime soon. They have to recruit nationally to try and catch up and they aren’t the draw they used to be anymore. I’m addition to that they haven’t had a good AD and have made bad football hires. I for one love seeing UT fans miserable for like over a decade now n

How? Who do they play who is worse than JSU?
Zero wins is a real possibility. This was their cupcake! Even if they’d won it’s a bad sign when you’re in a dogfight with the cupcakes on your schedule. How can there be seven wins on that schedule if jsu isn’t one of them?
