Great kid who fought through a LOT of adversity. Once he is healthy I expect him in the NFL.

Want to bet? With his size and speed an NFL team will grab him up, sit and develop him.

Jeff Driskel isnt doing too bad in the NFL. If he can be coached up, Franks for sure can.
In the NFL, all he needs is a killer Combine showing and teams will draw interest. Then again, he may likely not be cleared by the time the combine takes place.

I doubt he would get drafted and would have to make it as a free agent. Driskel put up pinball numbers in that pass friendly system at LA Tech and had to be picked up by Cincy after being cut as a 6th rounder. That was probably just based on his physical attributes which Franks has the same basically.

Somebody will pick him up and put him on a practice squad. Then it will be up to him.

Franks has the attributes. If Franks is a 6th rounder and gets cut I'm sure somebody else will pick him up. Driskel wasn't drafted due to numbers at La Tech. He was drafted due to his size and speed.

Anyone who thinks he wouldn’t get drafted is crazy. Josh Allen never completed 60% at Wyoming and threw for 1500 yards his last year and got drafted in the first round because he was 6’5, 240 and had a cannon.

NFL teams will see Franks for what he is...a very raw prospect that got shit coaching for two years and improved a lot over one and a half seasons with a real QB coach. They’ll bet they can get even more out of him with better coaching.

NFL? Are you on drugs? He won’t be drafted unless you thought XFL and he’d be a backup in that league.

You don't know football very well. Your other postings generally reflect that. I mean, yeah, no one will want a 6'5" 240 pound DT qb, lol . His only issue will be injury recovery. A graduate year elsewhere may be his best bet to showcase that recovery.

A very classy way to announce his departure. He was a good gator. Probably a little misunderstood and a little immature, but anybody who follows this team closely knows he put his heart and soul into his effort. sadgator always appreciated his effort and passion. sadgator will continue to root for him wherever he goes...

Yep. The kid never got into any off the field issues. Made good grades. Always worked hard to improve. Worked well with his teammates. He'd get a little fiery and people (including his own fans) would throw fits and call him names. Let Tim Tebow do the same and it was called "passion".

Another scholarship became available. Lucas Krull has entered the transfer portal.

This one surprised me. He would be on his 4th college in 5 years. He played a lot of plays. I guess the emergence of Kyle Pitts and being one of the main focal points of the offense is the reason why?

rsSr QB Franks and Grad-Sr TE Krull will xfer out after the bowl game.

Why is Krull leaving? (injured shoulder in Spring which limited him early on)
And Soph TE Kyle Pitts- 51 for 610 yds, 5 TD's, likely AA stats.
The 2020 TE roster is still lay-O-ded....

I guess he could be a 6th or 7th rounder based on measurables but I still think it's more likely he would go undrafted after what Trask did with the same set of receivers and a crappy running game.

He is also in a bind if he can't play in the Spring somewhere as that may make it hard to win the starting job. Hopefully his leg allows him to practice in the Spring.

I'd put money he will go no later than the 5th round.

A little 'this and that' posting from the iG. :)

NEW ORLEANS, La.The Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, has named eight quarterbacks as its "Stars of the Week", as Florida's Kyle Trask was recognized for his efforts in Florida's dominant 40-17 win over Florida State on Saturday night.

Trask vs FSU - 30-of-41, 73.2% for 343 yards 11.3 yds/comp, 3 TDs, 0 INT, QBR: 93.5

College football fans can now go to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Facebook page to vote for what they think was the best performance from this past weekend. When voting closes on Thursday at 11 a.m. (CT), the top vote-getter will be announced as the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week.

For the rest of the story: For the season (in just 9 1/3 games) Trask ranks 3rd among the SEC in QB rating (159.24) and touchdowns (24), while ranking 4th in passing yards (2,636) and completions (213).

(this might have firmed up Feleipe's decision)

BUCK/DL Greenard is again named the SEC's Defensive PoW.
The nod marks Jonathan's 4th SEC Player of the Week honor this season, marking the first Gator to earn as many SEC weekly honors since Max Garcia in 2014. Greenard recorded six tackles for the second consecutive game on Saturday, including a season-high 3.0 sacks for a loss of 19 yards and a forced fumble on a sack in the Gators dominant victory over the Seminoles.
