I met Rod when he was 17 years old, an immature kid but a lot of talent. Followed his career and became friends with him. Losing football ruined his life as he saw it and he battled a lot of inner demons trying to cope with it. Rod didn't have a plan B, it was only football and it took him a long time to come to terms with his new reality. Now, he's coaching offensive line at the high school level, giving back to the community.
