There is regular poor mouthing of the job Jeremy Foley has done, and is doing, with the UF athletics. In looking at the metrics for performance in regards to comparable athletic programs, Learfield Sports Directors' Cup and SEC All-Sports Award, UF is and has excelled. Data is only complete and available through the end of the 13/14 sports year, but the excellence is self evident.
Sports Directors Cup (Stanford has been first for the last six years which is what I accessed)
13/14 UF 2nd
12/13 UF 2nd
11/12 UF 2nd
10/11 UF 4th
09/10 UF 2nd
08/09 UF 3rd (and this included a football Nat Championship)
In regards to the SEC All-Sports, again through 13/14, UF has won the Cup six straight years. And incredibly 20 out of the last 21 years.
Even with this record as a program, we all want to win every game and every title in every sport. It's not going to happen. Perfection in the NFL has only been achieved once.
Strive and work to be better, but recognize excellence when it's being achieved.
Go Gators!!
