Joiner’s wife, Heyzel Obando, was found dead in her home in February 2016. It wasn’t until two months after her body was discovered that police ruled her death a homicide, and it wasn’t until yesterday that an arrest was made in the case. Joiner has been charged with second-degree murder. The News-Press reports that Joiner had previously been arrested twice on domestic violence charges.

Very sad to hear an innocent life was taken from her family as well as her 2 children. I can't imagine the thought of those children growing up without their mother and father(I heard Joiner wasn't around as a father to begin with). For the family, a case that was unsolved for 3 years is 3 years too long. It may not be comforting enough but my thoughts and prayers to Heyzel Obando's children and family members who are suffering this loss and hope Joiner gets more than what he has coming to him. Personally I'd like to see Tony Joiner charged with 1st degree murder.
Typical Nole fans taking joy in a former Gator taking the life of a mother of 2. You won't see any of us cracking jokes and defending the actions of Joiner. None of us defended Hernandez either.

AH & TJ have both been gone for years, and were not at UF (even recently) when they were accused of murder.

The one's that raised them before UF, and what they made of themselves (personal responsibility) after leaving UF takes the responsibility for who and what they are, not the university that they attended for 3-4 years.
