Very good win for Mike White. He needed that bad. It’s just 1 game and there is a long season to go. Our 6 best players are all seniors. I’m thinking that is probably going to really help this team.

Gators beat FSU at their own game - great defense, ball movement and hustle. 10 blocked shots for the good guys and we outrebounded them 44-33. Great team effort, with Castleton as the leader - 15 points and 16 rebounds to go with the blocks.

After that emotional loss of KJ last year, I appreciated the class shown by Leonard Hamiltion by offering to cancel the game should the Florida players/coaches want it. kudos!

However, this Florida win over FSU was a much need win for the Gators!
Mike White and his new team should be congratulated!

With all of their new talent, FSU should keep improving and be a formidable force in the ACC.
Good luck to both teams going forward!

CMW got over one hump by finally beating an in-state rival after 6 years. We'll just have to see how the rest of the season plays out before you declare him a championship level coach. It was a great win for White and for Gator Nation.

Haven't seen the game yet as I was out getting hammered all day yesterday but it sounds like they put on a defensive show and Castleton was a monster. Hopefully this points to a good season in SEC play.

One thing I took away from the FSU game is all six or seven guys don’t mind diving for a loose ball or mixing it up inside. You can overcome some cold shooting when you have that.

I think it was McKissic diving for a lose ball with like 40 seconds to go when your up by 16. I liked seeing that.

I really like this team. If they got knocked out in the first round of the tourney, I would never question it being a matter of heart and effort as long as things continue like this. It would be disappointing, but I would still proud of them.

Thanks but I’m all seriousness I doubt we would play each other in a tourney game. As far as I know that has never happened. I guess anything is possible

He's probably not achieved the results that he should have considering the talent he's brought to Tallahassee and sent to the NBA over the years, but he seems like a class act who always has teams that are hard-nosed, deep, and play good aggressive defense. Even he said after the game Sunday that the Gators beat FSU at their own game. And I agree. They were the better defenders, hustled more and forced the issue and everybody who came off the bench played with the same toughness. Hopefully, Mike White can get that consistent effort from his guys every game all year. If he does, they could surprise all the experts who expected a mediocre season. Time, of course, will tell.

I hope Castleton can give that new transfer KY got a clinic. They are convinced he is going to dominate playing us I think. At least the more hard core ones.
