Florida playing very well so far. DFS having a monster games. As is Egbunu.

Kasey Hill's line?

2-5 from the field
0-1 FT (front end of a one and one)
0 assists
2 turnovers

Or, just a normal half for Hill

And Allen is on fire.

And our starting PG? He is only 0-1 from the field. But he has 5 assists and 1 turnover. That is the stat a starting PG should have.

Good guys 49-30 at the half

This is the way I thought the team might play all year. Maybe they are finally getting it in gear.

if they had any humans shooting free throws the game would be completely and utterly over.. this team does whatever it takes even when they are playing at their best to keep it a game and try to lose.. How is it possible to have a team that can't do the normal things in every sport like kick FG's and extra points or free throws, we are the worst at every simple thing in every single sport that every team in the nation can do.

Somehow they overcame scourge of humanity Kasey Hill scoring 11 off the bench AND Mike White ignoring professor hoops up there's advice.

What were the stats of the starting PG? (Nine assists, one turnover)

What were Kasey Hill's stats? (one assist two turnovers)

Mike has figured out that Hill is not a guy you want on the floor more than 20 minutes a game.

Have you figured that out?

Hill played fairly well tonight. Allen was fantastic as was DFS. Nice road win against a decent team.

Hill was decent from the FT line. That was about it. One assist and two turnovers. To his credit, he had no turnovers in the second half. But he had not assists either. The only reason the FT performance is notable is that he usually is quite bad from the FT line

He knocked down a 3 and had a couple of nice drives. Defensively I thought he did really well. Good win.

Yea, for Hill, he had a good game. He had 11 points and was good from the FT line. He had a .5 assist to TO ratio.

Chiozza was a beast guarding the Ole Miss best player. Plus he dished out nine assists.

Couple stats for those who like stats.

-- Allen has scored 25+ in two of his last six games. The only other freshmen guard to do that in a full season in the last decade is Kenny Boynton, who did it twice all year. Brad Beal, Nick Calathes, Erving Walker never scored 25 in a game as a freshman.

-- Chris Chiozza is averaging 6.71 assists per game over the last seven games. School record for assists per game in a season is 6.42 by Nick Calathes. Perhaps more impressive is Chiozza has only turned it over eight times in that seven-game stretch.

Have you figured out that the Gators are up 19 at half and you're in here hating on a 20-year-old? Get a grip professor hoops.

Don't try to change the argument to make yourself look less petty. I said Chiozza and Allen should be starting and playing more minutes. My point was just that you were needlessly piling on a kid who has helped get us to a final four and who had already lost his starting job, and that you have no basis to criticize Mike White's (and Billy Donovan's) decisions to give him minutes, because you know jack about hoops.

I completely missed the game. Sounds like the Gators played very well the first half. I am reading however that the team is still shooting bricks at the free throw line.WTF? Guards too. That is crazy. Why? This can't be blamed on Billy D. lol

Chiozza has proven to be a more reliable, consistent point guard than Hill. Hill had a solid game last night coming off the bench. Allen is the stud of the 3 guards, plus Chiozza is a better defender, has a much better assist to turnover ratio than Hill and simply takes care of the ball and makes better decisions game in and game out. Hill is fast, has talent and can definitely open up the floor. He just can't shoot very well and dribbles himself into situations where he forces bad passes or takes bad shots more often than not. This was a great win for the Gators and it shows how good they can be.

The team was terrible at the FT line last year as well. In most cases, not all generally good shooters are good free throw shooters. We aren't a good shooting team period.

Chiozza is much more solid with the ball and a great passer. Some of his assists last night came out of nowhere. Hill has been disappointing as a starter, but he is actually a pretty good option coming off the bench. He is important to this team, because we really only have three guards and White wants to push the ball and play pressure defense. If we make a run in conference, and I think we can, he's going to have to be a big part of it.

I would advise a little patience with him and this team. Remember, a bunch of you (and you know who you are) were on this board during Pat Young's junior year, saying he couldn't play.

My word. Bless your little heart.
