FIRST GAME THREAD IS HERE

missed it... too busy trying to psychically cause Brent Musburger a debilitating stroke.

This oline is going to be a problem. I mean we all knew they were an issue but we're getting driven back in the run game and they got pressure easily with 3 men on our first two pass attempts. I love the deep shot off play action though! Haven't seen that from under center since the early Zook era.

Great play there. Scrambling to throw and keeping eyes downfield. I like how we're spreading the ball around so far. Deep shots, quick outs, drags, and then bootlegs off the inside run. I mean the opponent sucks but we actually have a plan and are setting up plays well.

as long as we're not trying the tip drill with our QB, our offense is looking pretty good. Treon is making good decisions.

We're still making plays because we're more talented but man we're getting blown up in the run game. There's two defenders in the backfield every time.

Hopefully it gets better as the game goes on. They're slanting on the dline quite a bit too so that's part of it.

Looks like we have a real QB competition.

Sadly, it'll still be a while before we know what they do against real defenses.

So looks like we got two damn good QB's. No worries fellas.
Grier is heads & Shoulders above Treon. Gators can win with Treon but Grier is better. Treon missed Jake downfield because he doesn't look downfield while scrambling. You can just tell that Grier has way better passing ability.

Head and shoulders above because you want him to be? And he's perfect so what missed throw are you talking about? I don't understand why you people can't be happy that we seem to finally have two good QB's for once and insist on playing favorites.

yeah, kinda lost on that comment too.

Also Treon's big completion to Taylor was exactly because he escaped the pocket and kept his eyes downfield. So so much for not looking down the field. Your bias is clouding what you claim to see.

Mussburger & Palmer replayed it on one of Treon scrambles, second or third possession. Jake waving hands in air at first down marker. Treon scrambled for a few yards but would have been first down. Get off Treons jock oozie, he isnt our answer Will is.

If you cant tell who better QB is then I have No words.

Our OL seems to block better for Will...maybe just an anomaly.

I think if our OL wasn't so inexperienced that Grier would likely already have the job though.

LOL. I'm not on anybody's jock you have to be trolling. I've been saying all off season both need to play. You're the one in here making up imaginary missed throws to pump one guy over another. The only one jock riding in here is you.

I don't think they block better, it just looks that way because Grier has a lightning quick release. It's insane actually. That TD throw he planted that back foot and zipped it in there in what seems like 2 ish seconds.

Aaron Rodgers would have fumbled on that one. Hard to hold on to the ball when your arm Gary's ripped out of its socket.

And if Treon wasn't so short, he wouldn't have had a problem with the high snap.

It is what it is.

If you read every post during his short stay its obvious that there is an agenda of a trolling nature

I noticed that too. That was Dan Marino-esque. But it seemed the OL held the pocket form much better as well.

But damn...that release AND the accuracy.

Troll?? Hell no. Watch the game bro, they replayed it & Jake was jumping up & down & Treon scrambled out of bounds instead of throwing to Mcgee for first down. Here's my take... Play breaks down & Treon looks to run first, pass second. Grier looks to pass first run second. Grier is who we need, Period.
