This is my final look at our board prior to the season beginning.
QB- Matt Corral
We're likely done here baring something unforeseen happening.
RB- Iverson Clement
Dameon Pierce
Done here as well.
WR- Jacob Copeland
JaMarr Chase
Tyquan Thornton
Corey Gammage
Jaylnn Williams
Jalen Hall
Justin Watkins
Anthony Schwartz
I fully expect us to get at least one, in not more, WR commit prior to NSD. I also do not expect us to sign 5 WR, but it is possible. Expect to see some movement here in the future.
TE- Kyle Pitts
Dante Lang
Camren McDonald- USC
The plan is to only take 2 TEs. McDonald is a lot like Pitts, but like Lang he also needs to put on a good bit of weight. Don't belive we would take 3 TEs, but Lang could possibly move back to the DL.
OL- Curtis Dunlap
Nicholas Petit-Frere
William Barnes
Richard Gouraige
Cleveland Reed
Reuben Unjie
Ed Montilus
Could we sign 3 of the top 10 OT in this class? Sure. Does it happen that often? Not really. I would feel safe saying we land 2 of the 3 though.
DT- Dante Stills
Coynis Miller
Nesta Silvera- Miami
The board speaks for itself. Stills is headed to WVU. We need at least 1 DT. Other names will likely pop up down the line, but right now things don't look great.
DE- Taylor Upshaw
Ronnie Perkins
Andrew Chatfield
Not really any better than the DT board except at least we have one commit and look good for Chatfield.
LB- David Reese
Channing Tindall
It seems they only want 1 LB in this class unless they can pull off the upset and land Tindall, not likely in my opinion.
DB- Amari Burney
Randy Russell
Divaad Wilson
Deontai Williams
Patrick Surtain
Tyson Campbell
Brendan Radley-Hiles- Nebraska
Gilbert Frierson- Miami
Kwantel Raines
Nadab Joseph
C.J. Smith
Tyreke Johnson
The board is deep, finally, but some of the prospects seem to be trending more away than towards. Surtain isn't headed this way. Raines is trending towards Pitt. Not sure what will happen down the road here, but it seems were hoping for a flip or two.
The offensive board looks good, but we need to hit a home run or two on the OL. The defensive board is weak and shallow. We need to pick it up on that side if we're going to continue our defensive dominance.
