Seriously, though, did we ever get even ONE vote for #1 the entire year? In spite of beating UT (#1) by 30, Barn (#1) at their place, Bama (top 5) at their place, and winning the SEC Tournament.

Edit: I looked it up, we got two whole votes after winning the SEC Tourney.

Well it’s pretty obvious the media hates us. Todd Golden got the same number of votes for coach of the year as I did.

All evidence points to UF having been the best team in the country this year. The media is still looking for reasons to crown Auburn and Bruce Pearl and Duke and Flagg as the best.

Apparently the Auburn fans on some other forums are crying like FSU fans(in 2012 they claimed winning a conference title is a more accomplished feat than going far in the NCAA tourney) as they're claiming they were better than UF in the regular season. Yes, they're saying they're regular season champions. Not all of them but they are serious.

Just swings me back around to the SEC giving Georgia that late season win against us. Without it we tie for best conference record with Auburn and win on head to head tiebreaker.

Auburn simply peaked too early. There is no question they were dominating the first half of the season. It’s very difficult to keep that up for the entire year. UF on the other hand started peaking at the end of the regular season.
