Fascinatingly scary look at how the media has shaped narratives over the last decade

When I read that Trayvon Martin was 17 and basically a grown man but was only seeing photos of a little boy playing little league baseball I knew immediately what the narrative was. An Hispanic security guard named Zimmerman would play the perceived Caucasian devil and Trayvon would be the helpless AA boy gunned down in the streets like a dog.

Yes, the pictures on Fox were a kid in a hoodie, the pictures on MSNBC were a kid in high school graduation robe, smiling.

Both are spinning narratives.

True, but the thug narrative was closest to the truth. Zimmerman was Hispanic but they portrayed him as a frustrated Caucasian with a Napoleon complex.
