Did you read the thread about the longest filibuster in history? It was carried out by Sen Robert Byrd, a former member of the KKK and Democrat, who tried to kill the Civil Rights Act, which was championed by Republicans.
Byrd died in 2010. Guess who gave the eulogy at his funeral? Barrack Hussein Obama.

Again, we aren't talking fringe groups. We are talking the freaking democratic president of the United States paying tribute to a former member of the KKK.
