Are full retard. My, how the sports channel has fallen. The dyke that has been chosen to do college football is an idiot. On the INT the play before Vandy's only jailbreak play of the day, she was mouth breathing Harris had turned the ball over on the 4th and 1. Yes, Treon did not get the ball out of his hand quickly enough on the quick pitch and catch but once he let that opportunity get away, he was running for his life and trying to make a play. He put the ball up for grabs which is generally okay in that situation when all is lost, but instead of berating the STUPID defensive back for intercepting it 20 yards downfield instead of batting it down she harps on the turnover. Hell...........it was effectively a 20 punt at worst. Women have no business in the booth in college football. This particular one is a tard.

The guy was equally as bad, on the same play he said that sometimes you have to learn to throw the ball away.

Don't let your hatred of women rights get in the way of good point. Her gender shouldn't be relevant.
Just say she was terrible and try not to oppress an entire demographic. Smdh

Remarks like that put you in her league.............having not ever even played pee wee football with the football IQ of a snail. Maybe you could get your own TV show and give seminars on feminine hygiene.

What do you expect to get when you play the 12 O'clock game? Hell I miss watching the replay on Breakfast with the Gators...having Nat Moore call the game...he was great.

sadgator loves and respects women of all kinds. We need more play by play women broadcasters ISO.

In a sport they never once participated in nor even adorned flags on their waists? I think not. I get the sideline reporters, the human interest angle from a hottie and a microphone. Analyst? Stick to softball and volleyball. Crap, as bad as Jesse Palmer and Danny Kanell are, at least they bring experience to the table.

That crew isn't very good. They typically pull one of the noon starts in the ESPN family of stations. Your game was the most "significant" event I've noticed them covering. They are far from top shelf.

Media-morons and idiot-commentators is often the case.
However, anyone is better than the 3:30 CBS team of Gary Laurel and Vern Hardy... o_O

That's an absurdly silly argument. So only people that have "played the game" are qualified to comment? You'll note that she does the play-by-play rather than the "commentary" by the way. And what if folks like Musberger, Nessler, etc have "never once participated" in a game, should they be disqualified from their careers? And if you want to extend it even further, should a commentator be allowed to call games if they haven't played at a level as high as the game they're working (big difference between playing at Minnesota vs Florida for example)?

Of course not, and the scenarios are patently absurd. The OP should be ashamed of his post: it's misogynistic, myopic, and flat-out wrong.

In this day and age of political correctness, might I show you door number 3, (kiss my ass)?
Oh and the NFL seems to have their brand down pat. Give me names of female analysts on their network. They get it. Back to college coverage, Gary Danielson, while quite irritating at times with his predetermined bias about who he would like to see win a particular game has the best grasp and knowledge of what is transpiring on the field and relays that back to the audience. Perhaps you are the one who needs glasses as well as a hearing aid?

LOL
Did I strike a (chauvinistic) nerve? Please remind me, does Danielson provide commentary or the play-by-play? Now what does Beth Mowins do....?
I think she called a subpar game as well, but it has NOTHING to do with her gender.
And you'll note that a guy like Joe Buck, for example, has never, to my knowledge, played a down of professional football in his life (or college for that matter). Feel free to write FOX about how you want him banned from the booth.

Your way of thinking is, thankfully, going the way of the dinosaur. I hope that you do not impart these "pearls of wisdom" to a daughter/sister/wife. Or if you do, I hope they have the common sense to think for themselves.

I do all the time. While she does well in the corporate world, she doesn't know the laces from the ends of the ball..................and doesn't care to. And that would be my point. I'm going to guess you are quite good at knitting and bridal arrangements?o_O

It's not about political correctness. You're just flat out wrong. I agree that Mowins is not good but it's not bc she's a woman...she's just not good. If you don't like a woman's voice calling a man's sport you're entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean the entire gender is incapable of doing it.

And your argument about not having played the sport also doesn't hold up. There are numerous announcers who are widely recognized as some of the best on their profession and have not played all the sports they call. (Al Michaels, Tirico, Buck, etc).

Count me as one of the guys who don't like sideline reporters, of any gender. I'm so sick of their BS being forced down our throat as a crucial aspect to the game. Their questions are idiotic. "Hey coach, you're off to a rough start, what do you need to do to turn it around?" Uh, play better dummy. I don't need that on my screen while I'm watching the game. It's even worse when they're females. I'll say what needs to be said...they're out there chasing cleats. How many of these sideline reporters do you see with a face full of makeup, low cut tops, and some tight jeans or slacks on cozying up to players? A couple of them have either gotten knocked up by players or date them on the regular (Erin Andrews and Michelle Beadle come to mind). Why are they trying to pass these chicks whoring themselves out to athletes as a noble profession who provide some valuable insight? Gets on my damn nerves.

/rant over.

So Mowins is the best representative ESPN has from that demographic? Things that make you go hmmm...........

As for her cohort, he was equally bad. Feel better now? ;)

I wish!! It'd be nice to be more well-rounded, but sadly this isn't an area I'm very good at. I know you meant it as a gender-stereotype-related putdown (bravo!!), but it's really quite laughable. I wonder if you would say half this stuff to women at your place of work, or are you just a misogynist behind a keyboard?? Inquiring minds want to know.

And another brilliant example of your debating approach, "the anecdotal evidence" gimmick, the recourse of ill-informed commentators everywhere!! So your (I'm assuming) daughter doesn't understand football....so no women could possibly be qualified to understand football.....very sound logic.

And I almost forgot this gem from an earlier post: "I get the sideline reporters, the human interest angle from a hottie and a microphone." I mean, come on....she's there simply to be ogled for her looks.... any chance she's there because she might be good at what she does and she deserves it?? When your (again I'm assuming) daughter is in the corporate world, is her only function to be subservient/ogled to/by the men that she works with??

It's the 21st Century....join us won't you??

I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with you on this.
I think if you've played, or especially if you've coached, the on the field stuff pregame, halftime or postgame drives you nuts. I mean what's a coach supposed to say? And by all means please interview some country singer who has a sideline pass but has no idea what's going on. We're all riveted.
The other day I saw a game where they interviewed some dude who rides motorcycles in the X games on the sidelines during the game. I believe it was the first football game he had ever been to. That's just what I wanted to see.......

First, you assumed daughter. Nope. Life partner, she competes in a man's world quite well and is closing in on 1/4 million a year in salary. Secondly, they don't hire at that pay level for looks. It's not Hollywood, it's corporate America. And third, I don't give a crap what you believe, women do not know a damn thing about football. They never played it, never coached it, never cared about it other than a social event. There might be one in a hundred that knows any of the rules. That's hardly a resume to be sitting in a booth explaining to viewers what is taking place on the field. There are enough lousy male commentators to go around, why add more fail to the equation?

She sounds like a Jewish woman trying to be a man.

If that's what you're going for, then just hire a man. Her voice was unbearable.

Ok, I gotta reply to this one. I don't like listening to games that she announces. I think this is the first one I've heard her do for the Gators. I just don't like her voice. BUT to say that women don't know a damn thing about football is just WRONG. There is no woman who would be hired to announce a game that doesn't even know the rules. I can tell you there is a hold before the flag comes out. I watch every second of every game. I love to sit in front of the tv for hours watching games on Saturday. You learn when you do that! You're a pretty presumptuous fellow there. I guess she is one of those one in a hundred....along with me.

Given the officiating thus far this year around the Power 5 conferences, sadgator's startin' to think that the men don't really know the rules either. sadgator would honestly not be opposed to more women officials. They certainly couldn't do worse.

You indeed are one of the rare few. You've been posting here for years, so I don't doubt your knowledge. I can think of only about 5 women posting in the forum the past decade and some of them have left the building. The point is women in football are red herrings, mostly due to choice. 99% know as much about the game as I do about Martha Stewart collections. :)

I don't think any woman should call any game involving the SEC as these games are too important for them to be involved with. Let them call MAC or Sunbelt games. No problem with some chick calling small ball.

And they shouldn't be let out of the kitchen either amiright? Right? Guys!!!???
