Dan Mullen to the Dallas Cowboys??????

It was one guy making the connection from Dak to Dan. They are the Dallas Cowboys, they want flash not substance. Dan is not "charismatic" enough, nor does he have the name cache Urban Meyer does.

Anything is possible when you flash enough $$ though. I just don't see the connection other than Dak. I would suggest they hire Kirby Smart. He is the greatest coach in the history of history. Instant dynasty.

You say they want flash, Garrett been there forever and he didn't have flash before or during being the Cowboys coach.

Lol Mullen isn't going to the Cowboys. They might blame him for Dak being so inaccurate on any pass over 10 yards.

I'm a big Cowboys fan but Jerry Jones is a hard guy to work for...his ego is bigger than the stadium lol
 
Would he dare be Urban Meyer's offensive coordinator? They were a hell of a team back in the day. But they also had Timmy at QB.

The most important thing to understand regarding the rumors going around of a possible Dan Mullen/Dallas Cowboys pairing, if and when the Cowboys fire head coach Jason Garrett, is that it all started as a hypothetical on a podcast.

"Our friend [NFL Draft analyst] Daniel Jeremiah made a prediction a week or two ago saying that he thinks it will be Dan Mullen, who’s an Urban Meyer protege, who by the way coached and developed Dak Prescott,” Bruce Feldman of The Athletic said on The Rich Eisen Show regarding Dallas' options.

“That’s what DJ said, I had not heard that from anybody else. But he kinda put two plus two plus two and got there."

The rumors should have stopped there. No, there is no way that Dan Mullen leaves Florida to coach the Dallas Cowboys.

Mullen isn't leaving...he's creating the best team in the country and he's building it from a disaster. Mullen is a college coach. .The NFL is a meat grinder and college coaches make just as much money now and some more.

There is something unique and intriguing about those Texas chicks though...that sweet drawl...all the ultra fem make-up and big hair...yet they are kinda tough and bad ass too...

If sadgator was a younger man he would definitely spend a year or two in Austin or Dallas just to experience it...
 
Anyone would consider the Cowboys head job, and most would probably take it if offered. Not just for the money. That team is loaded and plays in a ba. Urb even said he'd have to consider it.

But I doubt very seriously that Mullen is on their radar. I actually think he'd do a good job, and there is the Dak connection. But I don't think Jerruh is hiring a college coach, with the possible exception of Lincoln Riley, or Urb.

"You know, I've never even been an assistant coach at the NFL, so, you know, in life if (an opportunity arises), if someone ever calls me, then I would probably consider it then. But it's not even something I've considered at this point."

Jerry, keep your damn slippery hands off the Gator's HC... o_O

I would pass on Austin. Maybe Dallas and Houston...Waco...Lubbock...heck Amarillo. Anywhere but Austin. Weird folks there.

I know you are a die hard Dem and that cool and all. I still bet you wouldn't like Austin.

I’ve visited Austin a few times and it’s pretty cool. Filled with hipsters but bunch of cool places. Great barbecue and Mexican food.

Meyer is a winner, would love him in Dallas. Not sure him and Jones can make it work it long. Probably be like Jimmy Johnson but I'll take it. Meyer wats control and Jones is a control freak but Garrett is going to be out soon. He's a good dude but it's over.
 
Urban just needs to throw a full bottle of Gatorade at Jerry's head a time or two. That'll settle him down as to who's in charge of the team.... :D
