Florida has three AP/Coaches Poll titles ('96, '06, '08).
Florida was also #1 for the entire year of 2009 after their completion of the regular season. In the 'old' days (pre-1970s), that was more than enough to award a given team the national title just based on the regular season alone. In the regular season, UF was also 12-0 in 1995 as well as 2009.

Georgia has ONLY one AP/Coachs Poll title ('80).
In 1942, Ohio State was #1 in the final AP poll, Georgia was #2.

The funny part is the only started claiming that title from 42 a couple years ago. Goes to show you how much they really believe in their legitimacy for that title. But when you don’t have any tradition and you’re watching all your rivals around you win titles...just create championships to try to measure up. Sad.
