Dabo “Covid was just an excuse....

he wins titles. so there's that
Just go back several years when, not only Clemson fans, but at least some of us were wondering when Dabo would get the boot from Clemson. 18 years later with two championships and likely more championships for Dabo to come.

yeah it was only 6 years ago that Dabo was a ho-hum season away from getting the boot.

but, he revamped his staff and the recruiting finally paid off.

not to mention that there's been zero competition from anyone else in the ACC since then.

ACC had been terrible for years so that has helped Dabo immensely. Dabo was on the verge of getting fired and turned it around. Forgot what year it was but it was the year after he got demolished in the bowl game against West Virginia I believe was fixing to be his last.

Clemson has filled the incredible void left by UM and FSU.

When has the ACC EVER been anything but bad?
That’s what is pissing me off this year. Notre Dame beating Clemson was bad because I think we all know a Clemson team with Lawrence playing beats ND in the ACCCG. Then they both get in, unless Clemson destroys them. That would likely open the door for aTm.

Dabo's one of those guys you love when he's your coach but hate when he's somebody's else's coach. Kind of like Spurrier, Saban. There are players like that, too.
I would hate for him to be the Gator coach

he wins football games

He is not the human Spurrier is and nerved will come close

he is a magat scum. Not budging on this, he is all that is wrong with a lot more than just college football

a disgrace

He got tahj boyd at QB and booted kevin steele as DC. You are correct on the timing tho, i believe WV hung 70 on them

This year. We will more than likely have 2 teams in the playoffs. There has been a few other years as well. The ACC has won 3 of the last 7 national titles and been to 5 out of 7. This year we have Clemson, ND, Miami , and UNC as good teams. Then you have the Pitts, Louisvilles, BCs and NC states as decent teams. The whole conference thing has always been over blown. I remember the yr every1 was hyping the SEC because Georgia was so good and bama had its best team ever and blah bla blah.... UGA then got smoked by a mediocre texas team and bama got slaughtered by Clemson. The sec lives in an echo chamber. Ive never seen a conference slurp itself more. I do think most yrs the SEC has had the best conf, i dont think that is true this yr, it might be a toss up or the sec might not be number 1 this yr. The thing people dont understand is it rarely is one conference vastly better than others. They are usually really close, even on the SECs 10 year run where they were very good and clearly the best conf, it was still closer than people think. I will be honest, i dont think the Gators have just 1 loss if they played fsus schedule. Not a knock on you guys but the matchups are vastly different. I honestly think people only watch their conference lol which i understand.

Pretty classless by Dabo - yes, I'm sure FSU got the game preppared, Clemson in town and thought they were too scared to play. Give me a break.

I like Dabo fine enough but this is a reminder that elite coaches live in very isolated worlds.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell when you’re joking.

What other years has the ACC had 2 teams in the playoffs?? Not sure I would really count Notre Dame in the ACC just because they are in it for 1 year? That’s certainly an interesting take for sure.

It is what it is. The ACC has typically been a pretty bad football conference mostly because Miami has been pretty bad. Miami was supposed to kind of get the ACC to that next level.

Dabo was actually wrong about FSU having 3 coaches in 4 years. FSU had 4 coaches in 4 years. Odell Haggins served as an interim.

The ACC teams agreed to a set of rules about Covid BEFORE the season started. fsu changed the rules 3 hours before kickoff. Clemson isn't the first team to have a player test positive the morning of the game and then holdout said player. fsu is a cess pool of spineless twits.

Personally, I hope they reschedule the game and Dabo keeps his anger up and they hang 100 on them. They could do it while playing their backup QB the entire second half.

I would say most yrs we have been one of the bottom 2 conferences but we have also had our good years. This will be the first yr, Notre dame has been in tye ACC for a lomg time, only in football are they not in the ACC but they still play an ACC schedule (the only reason for this is their contract with NBC). They can win the ACC title this yr which means they are in the ACC. If ND is in the conference and Miami and fsu are good along with clemson, we have just as good of a conf as the sec year in and year out... Miami finally got their shit together and we tale spin lol I think the ACC is good this yr, probably the best its ever been

Is Notre Dame going to be in the ACC after this year in football? I don’t believe they are. They are an independent when it comes to football. Miami is finally having a good year but it is just one year. The last time Miami was good was 2001 I believe. I think that is the last time they legit had a top 10-15 team. We will see if they can maintain it. I’m not sold on Manny Diaz.

I dont think ND will be in the conference next yr but they will still play an ACC schedule (think the requirement is 5 games). I agree on Miami, its a shame they have sucked the entire time but thats what happens when you move from the big east to the ACC.... Tougher schedule. I hope they maintain it tho. I want the big 3 in florida to be good.

As for next season, I think FSU has a chance to break Miami's little win streak against FSU. Although overhyped, King has them as a one hit wonder this season.

FSU is getting a well deserved black eye - that doesn't have anything to do with Dabo looking like a jackass in his own right. Just take the high road - act like you belong there. That's all.

Yup....destroyed and then fired Kevin Steal....been tearing it up since...well, once Jameis left FSU anyway.

How many ranked teams has Miami beaten? Nary a one.

IF

Notre Dame is in the ACC
Clemson is good
Miami is good
FSU is good

You would be close to what the SEC has year in and year out.

Only problem is, Notre Dame isn't in the ACC, except this one year. Miami isn't good, except this one year, and FSU isn't good, hasn't been for a while and won't be for a while.

If ifs and buts were candies and nuts...
