Can't say I predicted this yesterday after seeing Jason Marshall's commitment since it was more of a hope / WAG.

But after I read all the Social Media comments from other Gator recruits, especially this one from Marshall to Collier - I felt very comfortable.

Da Yu will always appeal to Dade County kids. Now with Rona and social distancing, staying home is a no brainer for some.

Manolo proved last year that his coaching sucks when adversity hits. Regardless any coach can be hired at Da Yu, preach about “the state of Miami” and keep a good amount of South Florida talent at home before the losses pile up.

Nothing more than location location location. Large majority of their class is local. Many sticking close to home during the pandemic.

Honestly Miami should always have a top 10-15 class yearly due to homegrown talent alone.

1. Don't wanna be that far away from Momma.
2. Don't wanna be that far away from their favorite squeeze.
3. Don't wanna be that far away from their buds and/or the hood.
4. Don't wanna (or can't) meet the academics at UF for student/athletes.
Or any of the other many reasons that kids choose to stay close to home.
