If a national solution to Healthcare and social issues is desire then the amendment process is required and the 2/3rd hurdle must be surpassed before binding the whole nation to the immoral whims of the left or their collectivist machinations concerning healthcare.
Such a path of restraint will actually lead to more civility as people vote with their feet by moving to states that reflect their mores and the left is disarmed from being able to use the courts to coerce the public.
