Comparison thread Fsu vs UF

Entering the season, I'd put FSU ahead at RB. I think Akers is the best of the bunch - he's strong enough to pick up tough yards, with more breakaway ability than the others who have played much. Other than him, we have nobody who's proven anything at the college level. For UF, it's hard to really know what you'll have this year. Your top two have pretty significant question marks - one returning from a major knee injury, the other sat out all of last season; maybe he comes back fresh, maybe he comes back rusty or soft. Won't know until he hits the field.
For both teams, RB has the potential to be a team strength - but also has the potential to be an area of major struggles.

If you were to combine the two teams into one by picking the best players at each position for a two deep roster, I think it looks like this...

First Team..

QB Deondre Francois (FSU)
RB Cam Akers (FSU)
WR Tyrie Cleveland (UF)
WR Van Jefferson (UF)
WR DJ Matthews (FSU)
TE C’yontai Lewis (UF)

WR Tamorrion Terry (FSU)
WR Kadarius Toney (UF)
WR Nyqwan Murray (FSU)
TE Tre McKitty (FSU)
OT Derrick Kelly (FSU)

Man, you’ve got a sh!tload of time on your hands.

This may sound crazy and im just shooting in the dark here.....but maybe watch them play and determine it for yourself instead of looking up a meaningless stat. According you though, the NFL should NEVER pick who they think is better, they should just look at stats. Thats why the navy running back is the 1st one off the board each yr right? The QB who passes for the most yards is ALWAYS thw first one taken...right? I could go on and i know you will publicly refute this but privately...we both know im right(you dont have tonsay it publicly) we both know

See for yourself

Trainers say that Scarlett worked hard the whole time he was suspended in 2016.
He was tied with UGly's Nick Chubb for the most yards after contact, 74% of his yards total came after contact. He didn't look rusty in the Spring game to me. And while he's a very good RB, I don't think that he's the best on the roster right now, but see for yourself...

I watch the games butt-wipe, although I only watch the other teams when they play the Gators. I mostly compare what I see of the current Gator players, with past Gators that I am equally familiar with, not with the rest of the world. You are free to watch too, but take off those ugly garnet & gold glasses first... ;)

The doctors and the trainers all say he's 100%, and he's now working with the Savage. o_O

A rock solid 3rd year starter that's the best short yardage runner and the best receiver.

A highlight reel just waiting to happen 'The Human Joystick' with the best start/stop moves since Ike Hillard was a Gator imo.

This RB/KR/ST's guy didn't play much at RB in 2017, but when he did he ran for 7.2 ypc. He mostly played ST's and he was the primary KR'er. Fall might get him in the 2018 rotation???

While the incoming FNG went past H.Walkers Georgia HS career rushing yards total.
Power and Speed in a deadly combination with work ethic and heart.
Skip to the 1:07 mark to avoid the bs before the highlights begin, and I also killed the volume to avoid the lame commentary....

Now, the thing here is, that this guy would start most places, but at UF in 2018, he might need to take a redshirt or play one of his other positions, like DB and ST's if he wants to get on the field at all....

I watch, do you,,, really??? o_O

PS
That vid you posted is a better OL hightlight reel imo, they are great at holding without the officials ever calling one on them...

Maybe you know something about your crims (I don't know), but all that post showed me, is just how little you know about the Gator players....

I watch every gator game, no need for me to watch highlights. U cant make a comparison if u dont watch the other player. So there is no need to debate further

Your concession to cluelessness is accepted, and I never expected you to actually watch, before or after running your ignorant mouth. After all, you are a Clown-U criminole...

The ONLY time I ever watch a criminole game, in ANY sport, is when they are playing a Gator team, and even then it's hard to watch if they are using All Corrupt Conference officials.
(The Swindle in the SWAMP is a prime example of that chit, but not nearly the only example)

Perfect, and thanks for proving my point on the dweebs that hand out the stars....
Neal Anderson - John L. Williams - Lorenzo Hampton
Emmitt Smith - Errict Rhett - Fred Taylor, etc.... (the entire list is very long)

Now, can you give me the name of the last Gator RB starter that didn't at least get a shot at making an NFL team? It's so far back that even I have forgotten....

So have I, I watched your vid.

Your boy looks tough against their weaker opponents, not so much against talent.
His best attribute by far is his speed, and he has decent hands as a receiver.
He's a good, solid quality ACC RB, but nothing 'special' imo.
And it's fine that our opinions vary,,, when don't they?

But if you really believe that Acres is the best RB, then we really have nothing further to discuss as far as an FSUcks / Gators RB comparison goes...

The Gators could lose their rsJr RB, and their Jr RB, and still have better quality and depth than FSUcks has for 2018. Stats or Eye Test, the Gator RB's are better.

IF Dan get's Trey in the 2019 class, they will again have better & deeper RB's for 2019, even if both Perine and Scarlett leave early for the NFL. -- JMOHO's of course.

As usual instaloon presents his facts that are simply his lies. The SOS for FSU was mid 20's per Sagarin vs UF at #39. Also the body of work for M Davis ( 1 carry for 8 vs Mich, and gone after UGa.) came against a sad rated avg. of 70+ for run defense in the rest of the schedule. So Akers ran against higher rated sched. and higher rated run defenses. Additionally with the true fresh. QB, all the D coords stacked FSU for the run game. But feel free to base your opinion on whatever you choose..... like astrology, or tarot cards.

The butt-buddy trolls, nolelic and the nailed-head agree.

Head to Head NC game outcomes:

UF 52 - 20 FSUcks

UF 24 - 14 Choke-la-homo

No wonder I guess, that they spend their time as trolls on the Gator board, explaining things to us clueless Gators.... :D:p:D

There are numerous posters here that are not clueless, and make spending time here enjoyable. I generally find those posters do not make up stats, deride other posters, constantly make homophobic/ homoerotic posts, ignore laws of physics, or largely make asses of themselves.

Yep, ole nolelic is a fine guy, for a retarded criminole troll during 'talking' season...
That's why the snore-rant sends their best and brightest over here to keep us company...

That Malik Davis kid, sure was a no-talent true freshman bum of a RB....
2017 Opponents: Mich-TN-UK-VU-LSU-aTm-UGA -- then injured out.
Mich to begin with, and then 6 SEC teams...o_O -- 7 teams, 5 were bowl teams.

2017: Played in seven games, starting two before suffering a season-ending injury against Georgia… Ranked second on the team in rushing, totaling 526 yards on 79 carries and two touchdowns… Despite the injury, he ranks 4th in UF’s history for the most net rushing yards by a true freshman since 1996 as he’s behind Earnest Graham (654 yards, 1999), Jeff Demps (605 yards, 2008) and DeShawn Wynn (540 yards, 2003… Recorded 5 games (of 7 appeared in) with 90+ yards, including a career-high 124 against Vanderbilt… In the Vanderbilt game, Davis became the first true freshman in the SEC to have 2 rushing touchdowns in a game… He also became the first true freshman in UF history to rush for over 100 yards and two touchdowns in a game since Jeff Demps do so against Arkansas (Oct. 4, 2008)… Earned SEC Freshman of the Week after that performance… Overall, he became the 17th UF true freshman since 1955 to rush for over 100 yards in a game... Ranked third in the SEC for most net rushing yards by a true freshman… Rushed for a career-long run of 72 yards against Tennessee… Caught seven receptions on the year for 58 yards, including a career-high two for 22 yards against Texas A&M… Named to the Coaches Freshman All-SEC Team.

While Acres was essential in losing to: UA-NCSt-Mia-UL-Clem.
But hey, he/they finished the season with wins against 3 teams that went a combined 16-20 plus D2 DelSt....

Besides, everyone knows that the Almost Competitive Conf defenses make the SEC defenses look like a bunch of sissy choir boys,,, which is why they win so many NC's with so many different ACC teams.... :D:D:D --- Happy to have you set me straight with all of your top notch phootball nowledge....

Laborn might actually be better than Akers.

Hey asskissnole, thanks for chiming in with your own usual level of nowledge...

============

FSU may actually have a couple that are better full time RB's than Acres is, but I don't think any of the others have his pure speed, unless maybe it's Laborn. That raw speed is Acres saving grace imo. Both look to have decent hands coming out of the backfield.

Khalan Laborn 5-11 205 rsFr -- a supposed 5 star, that had to take a redshirt instead of contributing in 2017....
What I noticed is that in his open field running, he's carrying the ball like a loaf of bread (fumble-itis), way out away from his body.
He got the APB tag because he's also a pretty good receiver. (247 4 star)
Just a FYI ~ 247's 40 Most Important to the Team - has him as the lowest rated RB at #26, with #1 being the most important.

Against ACC defenses, all 3 RB's should be able to put up good numbers, not that any stats matter... ;) -- -- :D

==========

Note: UF has 8-10 on the 2018 roster that can fill that same run/catch ABP slot.

WR/RB Dre Massey 5-9 186 rsSr (4.35/40 speed)
RB/WR Lamical Perine 5-11 218 Jr (brusier with soft hands)
RB/WR Malik Davis 5-11 194 So (Fr record breaker if not injured in Gm-7)
RB/KR/WR Adarius Lemons 6-0 201 So (the primary KR in 2017)
WR/RB/QB Kadarius Toney 5-11 194 So (The Human Joystick)
The Gator 'committee' played instead of taking a redshirt... o_O
-----
QB/RB/WR Emory Jones 6-2 192 Fr (another Toney if not at QB)
RB/WR FNG Dameon Pierce 5-10 207 Fr -- (Better than Acres or Laborn imo)

RB/WR/KR FNG Iverson Clement 5-11 193 Fr (any skill position on O or D)
WR/RB/KR FNG Jacob Copeland 5-11 186 Fr
WR/RB/KR FNG Justin Watkins 5-11 172 Fr (any skill position on O or D)
And maybe 1-2 others, going by what they did in HS.

Currently, going into Fall practice, Dan/staff have 31 listed as Ath's. Fall practice should sort out some more positions before Sept 1st.

Dan and his offensive staff have a good chance to 'Shock the World' in 2018.

Is that some kind of (iG) prediction or guarantee of outcome?
NOPE,,,, it's just A CHANCE is all... ;)

So what's the key for it to happen that we haven't already seen yet in practice or Spring?
Ans: Will they ALL come together and play and coach for each other as a TEAM? o_O

I will begin to know the answers to my own questions after game 4.

~ keeping in mind that total bs was put together by an old, mindless, senile, village idiot, that fell off his wall and landed on his head....

Patrick has barely a 1,000 yards combined in 3 seasons. Scarlett did 900 in one season alone. Davis had 526 in 7 games. Please go away. Patrick is a slug who should be playing fullback. Akers is the best of the bunch but the rest of your gibberish is just homerism.
Patrick is pretty good. 1400 yards and 16 TDs in 3 years, despite sitting behind Cook for 2 years. Career 5.6 avg. I thought he was better than Akers last season.
