However -- The Sporting News on their 2020 Top 20 QB's:

#10 Jamie Newman - UGly
#12 Kellen Mond - aTm
#14 Kyle Trask - UF

Gator QB Kyle Trask stepped in for Feleipe' Franks and took hold of the job with the Gators. Trask is an efficient passer – he completed 66.9% of his passes with 25 TDs and 7 Int's. He'll have a chance to play at the next level if he builds on that success.
NOTE: Who was last year #14 preseason QB? --
Joe Burrow ;) -- :D

A little comparison, which doesn't include the difference in competition levels.
The passing numbers for the two are similar:

#14 Trask 237-354 (66.9%) passing for 2,941 yds with 25 TD's to 7 Ints, 10 Gms

#10 Newman - 220-361 (60.9%) passing for 2,868 yds with 26 TD,11 Int's, 12 Gms.

Sporting News Projected SEC Bowl teams.

#10 UF vs #16 Wis in the Citrus Bowl

#10 Florida plays these projected SEC Bowl teams::

#3 Bama - CFP - IF UF wins the SEC-E

#4 Georgia - Fiesta Bowl

#5 LSU - Chick-Fil-A Bowl

#23 UK - Liberty Bowl

Tenn - Gator Bowl

SCa - Gasparilla Bowl

Miss - Las Vegas Bowl

The Sporting News thinks that every team in the SEC-E will be in a bowl except for VU & Mizz.
I guess Mizz doesn't have a good team or a decent QB....
Note: While CBS-Sports has Mizzou going 7-5 btw.

UF plays 4 SEC-E bowl team & both of their SEC-W opponents are projected bowlers.
Yep, just another weak SoS for the Gators....

Must be because they think that FSUcks yet again and won't even make a bowl.
Note: CBS-Sports has UF winning the SEC-E going 11-1, 7-1 with their only loss @ Tennis-sea.

I'll just take this opportunity to be the 1st Gator fan to say that I think that the SN's Citrus Bowl projection is FoS...

Another day and another bowl projection out for the Florida Gators.

After Sporting News projected that Florida would land in the VRBO Citrus Bowl on Thursday, taking on Wisconsin, the Gators got a more favorable projection from College Football News. College Football News has Florida in its third straight New Year's Six bowl game, taking on Notre Dame in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

College Football News has 12 of the 14 SEC teams reaching a bowl next fall, with only Arkansas and Vanderbilt missing out. The Razorbacks haven't won an SEC game since Oct. 28, 2017 but will have former Florida quarterback Feleipe Franks coming in to finish out his collegiate eligibility after transferring from UF following the 2019 campaign.

Florida obviously feels pretty good about its chances to compete for not just a New Year's Six bowl again, but a potential spot in the College Football Playoff.

JMOHO, but the article seems to give Meyer more of the credit for QB development than Mullen gets, ignoring that Dan was both the OC and the QB coach.

"The three things we always look at for a quarterback, he was somewhat underdeveloped," Meyer said. "No. 1, and the most important, is a quick release. No. 2 is arm strength. No. 3 is accuracy. I saw Dan Mullen (develop those)." o_O

As you'll see in the video of Trask below, he is certainly working on that this off-season and his speed to release is excellent. That was part of what allowed Trask to step seamlessly in for injured starter Feleipe Franks a year ago and lead Florida to 11 wins. (it was already good last season, but it's getting even better - iG) :)

What's a Great HC? o_O

He can take his-n and beat your-n, or he can take your-n and beat his-n....

That's not a critique that fits ole 4th & Dumb.
With a 5 star roster that rivals the Red Turds & Clemp's-son, he still lost at home to coach Boom and the lamecocks, and he has failed to bring the buttsniffers a NC, with only 1 SEC-C since arriving in Athens. o_O
