I think of all our hires this was the one I heard the most complaining about, saying we could have done better, he failed at Michigan etc..
After the play calling in game one did anyone's opinion of him change? I think Coach Mac makes Coach Nuss better, and vice versa. I look at the decision to spread the ball around, get tight ends involved, and explore our options on the offensive side of things and get excited. I think that game was a bit of a tryout for some of the new guys as well as to try and see what this team is working with. I haven't seen a UF game in forever where so many playmakers touched the ball, and where there were so few penalties.
I think Nuss at OC is a home run especially since you know he works so well with Mac. This staff is really incredible and the cohesion is evident. Everyone on this staff is really hungry. It looks like they all enjoy working with/for Mac.
