GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida’s Chris Walker has declared for the NBA Draft, head coach Billy Donovan announced on Friday. The 6-foot-10 Walker appeared in 49 games over the course of two seasons with the Gators.
“I want to thank the coaching staff, my teammates and everyone at Florida for my experience here,” Walker said. “I’m excited to continue pursuing my dream of playing professionally.”
“Chris has been a pleasure to coach,” Donovan said. “He is a great kid with a lot of potential, and everyone here wishes the absolute best for him.”
Walker joins Michael Frazier II as early entries off UF’s 2014-15 team. The Bonifay, Fla., native posted five double-figure scoring games this season and recorded a career-best five blocks in Florida’s win vs. Vanderbilt on Feb. 18.
