that being said, if an innocent patriot received fair justice then so be it...fantastic...sadgator is delighted for the guy...but this story isn’t good for either side...it isn’t...and there isn’t any more likely a successful prosecution of those who investigated Trump in the first place than there was of Trump himself...it just isn’t a good issue either way...

I have never advocated for a president to be sent to jail. As much as I disliked Clinton I didn't want him jailed. He did commit war crimes in Serbia by targeting civilians directly but I digress. BTW W committed zero war crimes before anyone starts that nonsense. In fact his ROE were part of the problem along with purple thumbs. I would have never supported Clinton being sent to The Hague.
BUT if zer0 was involved directly with Fast and Furious, the IRS targeting and this coup attempt HE needs to go to jail.

Rod Rosenstein's role in all this is fascinating to consider. Some think he's a willing participant and going down with the rest. Others, like Brian here, think he's been working with the good guys all along.
And truth be told, I would not be surprised if Mueller wasn't as well, when the smoke clears.
The theory is that Rosenstein was put in charge of appointing the SC to DOCUMENT what was happening. In effect, he will serve as WITNESS for the prosecution.
There's a line of thinking that suggests maybe Mueller was put in charge of the russia investigation for the same reason. The day-long meeting Mueller and Trump had the day before Mueller was named SC has always confused me. The White House claimed that meeting was because Mueller was interviewing for FBI Director. But he COULD NOT LEGALLY BE FBI DIRECTOR AGAIN.
Also, Rosenstein was given a hero's sendoff by both Barr and Sessions when he retired. And Trump seems to leave him out of his venom about the coup plotters.
And I still think all of this is the tip of the iceberg.
