Position groups most affected by transfers and opt outs

I don't know anyone who is excited about this game.

I would like to know how we ended up going across the continent for a game at 11:30 am local time with less than two weeks to prepare.

Doubt this was Napier's or AD Scott Stricklin's first choice & they are probably under a gag rule to keep them from Embarassing the SEC honchos (idiots & worse) who sent us to this abortion of a Bowl Game.

The team we field in LV will be markedly different from the one we sent out on opening day against Utah.

Well written article & worth the read -

Ohio State transfer connected on 7 of 14 50% for 101 yards @ tOSU.
2022 Spring game, completed 13 of 23 56.5% for 121 yards and an interception.

But hey, he's the highly experienced QB, so it's all good vs LAC-12 OreSt.
While all of those that are gone weren't any good anyway, so no prob-blem-mo....
😉

Ocala,

Good article - thanks for posting !

Scott Carter / Senior Writer of the article obviously not a long time Gator fan -
he forgot to mention -

Walk on to All Sec QB
Kerwin Bell
The Throwin Mayoan

I have been extremely critical of Jack Miller - his O&B game stats were poor.

I am hoping that he does well & we can stop looking for
Gold at the End of the Rainbow in a Transfer QB !

Just curious if you remember this 3rd year QB at Florida that had these numbers in his 1st real game when he finally got some extended playing time of more than just 2 or 3 passes in garbage time.

10 of 18 for 126 yards 55.6% completion rate and negative 11 yards rushing.

fevered......., it seems to me that you got all hung up on the 'It's Miller Time' slogo and can't get past it.
But hey, maybe Miller will transform into UF's 4th Heisman QB for you in 2023.

Because it certainly won't be Brown, still rotting over on the bench (or bailing out to the portal due to a total lack of opportunity).....

No I am not expecting a whole lot from Miller unless I see it but its possible he doesn't play bad. The smartest move may be getting a proven QB from the portal as a 1 year bridge to who wins out among the younger QBs.

That equals Brown to the portal IF he's interested in ever playing football.'

Were I him and I wanted to stay at UF, I'd be talking to O'Sul about playing baseball....

There's an irony here about how players should choose Florida for Academics, which are better than the schools mentioned in Brown's offer list, but if a raw talent that played against mediocre Oklahoma talent didn't somehow get the nod at QB then....well....it's all because Napier can't recognize talent.

Spent the time to get him here though....

There will be people, people that shall go unnamed, who will win this argument no matter what happens, and let me show you how (outside of the fact that they're the type of people that never admit when they're wrong).

Max Brown:

1. He shows out in the spring and summer and wins the job..."see? I told you he was great, about time 'Nappy' saw it (no credit to QB development).

2. Brown sits on the bench, more complaining, no development, he should transfer somewhere that deserves his talents. Stats shall ensue from a weak high school competition that proves he's special.

3. Brown transfers to a low level P5 or G5 and plays and looks great. "See? Had Nappy just given him a chance!"

4. Brown transfers to a low level P5 or G5 and plays poorly. "See? That's what happens when you waste all that time being loyal and the coaching staff doesn't develop you it ruins your career!"

5. Brown stays and never plays more than some mop up time. "Well he was a real Gator because he didn't transfer here unlike a lot of losers AND he got a great education."

6. Brown transfers and never plays more than some mop up time. "He was screwed by the coaching staff and I hope he has success in anything he does, if only these dumb coaches that I don't like because I didn't hitch my horse to them didn't make him the starter his freshman year because that's how my narrative works."

7. Brown will always be a good and true Gator even if he transfers because he signed here, but anyone that transfers here will never truly be a Gator because when they were 17 they weren't wise enough to know how amazing their life's would be"

8. Todd Grantham is a better defense mind than any coach ever and I'm old an bitter. Fight me.

Rashada's a 4-star, and Lagway is a 5-star, so it's 3-star Brown to the portal....

Like I said in another post if Brown was the next greatest thing since sliced bread then LIncoln Riley the QB guru from the state of Oklahoma would have been knocking on Maxine's door.

I consider this to be an admission of being wrong, even if the emoji user doesn't realize it is such an admission:
