Crazy a team can be favored that much in the Swamp. Were we ever double digit underdogs in the Swamp since the mid 80s?

I think if Jones played the whole game we would get rolled fpr sure. Richardson appears to have the skill set to possibly keep us in this game but its going to be tough with him having so little experience. Maybe being at home helps him overcome that and he makes some crazy plays to keep it competitive.

Want to look at the tape breakdown of the USF game to see if Grantham is still running a lot of dangerous play designs.

Just saw Bama has won like 7 straight over us and were favored by about the same amount in 2011 when we were struggling.

I think this game is going to be close. I expect our guys to be ready to play. The key will be the first quarter. Bama typically gets off to a fast start in their “big” games. If they jump out to an early lead then we will be toast. A lot will also depend on how much AR can play. I do believe Mullen has some things up his sleeve that we haven’t shown yet. With that being said that doesn’t solve the problems on defense. I do think we we better on defense this year than last year though.

Any word on him yet? I am convinced it will be a beatdown if he can't play. Maybe not as bad as Miami but pretty bad. With what Jones has shown the first games with those picks he may go full Driskel mode in a game like this which makes me wonder how long Mullen would wait to pull the plug if Richardson can play.

We won't know until game time if AR is even going to play. Mullen won't let Saban know if he needs to prepare for AR or not. I doubt AR is going to be able to play much if at all!

Saban isn't stupid he has one of his 100 former coach analysts studying every play AR has ever made from high school on. Are you basing that off rumors out there about the hamstring?

I think what he is saying is Saban hasn’t seen AR in all the packages/plays that Mullen may have designed for him. AR hasn’t taken that many snaps and the plays he has run has been very minimal from the playbook.
Looking at high school tape isn’t going to give you anything. That was a few years ago already in a different offense on a different team against different competition and a different coach. All you will get from watching high school tape is he is a ridiculous athlete. You don’t need to watch high school tape to know that. That’s on college tape now.

The option has been very effective the few times EJ has run the play. Don’t believe we have run it yet with AR. So yes running it with AR is a scary scenario for the defense. Not to mention we haven’t used the 3rd option on that play yet which is the shovel pass to the trailing Hback/TE.
