So now White says 2-1 ok but the 1 must be at small stadium? Not ok with playing at 75k building?

Love the central comments, guaranteeing they win in 13 or 17 or last year

Look, they and a handful of others have elevated above other G5 schools.in other words, UCF right now is not central Michigan

But they want to be treated much better than they have earned with a few nice seasons

There are a handful of G5/teams that Florida could play road games with, but not at their stadiums if they are small. Money matters

Would not play at Houston’s on campus stadium, but would play them in Houston
Would play at Memphis and Liberty Bowl
Maybe could play at Boise State because fewer seasons for Gator fans would not matter that far away
USF at Raymond James
In theory if FIU or FAU got much better would play them at Dolphins stadium

You get the point

The last time that UF played UCF it was a 58 - 27 blow-out. o_O

In 2018
UF 27 - 19 LSU -8
LSU 40 - 32 UCF -8

Not really interested in playing UCF anywhere, except the SWAMP.
They can be one of UF's NRG patsy slots, or they can go play with themselves...

They bark at UF in some weak attempt to get some media attention. Pitiful actually.

UCF wants to be considered a bit time program but is unwilling to do what most teams that transfer from being a UCF-type program to a P5 program have done.

GBO,

UCF seems ready to accept a 2:1 deal so I have to disagree about their unwillingness.

Also, latest Coaches poll shows UCF tied for 17th; Auburn at 16th.

Granted a preseason poll, doesn't necessarily mean much, especially when you are listed in bottom 1/3. But better than most of our opponents.

QUESTION: Why is UCF listed when USF, Tenn, Vandy, KY, Missou, USC (lEast), & FSU are not ?

Turn around for Gators NOT finished. Stupid for UF to get a swelled head after 1 year under Dan Mullen. Remember, KY & Missou both beat us soundly at home, in the Swamp !

As for playing in their on campus stadium, why not ? Our travel cost for a 112.6 mile bus ride are nill. Play the game, stay over & visit Disney - More fun then Neyland or Doak Campbell Stadium.

Insta,

A bit extreme !

In recent years, UCF has beaten Auburn & Georgia (2010) in bowl games & lost by 8 on a neutral field to LSU. Care to predict score of this year's UF / LSU game.
I'll take LSU & give you 8 pts.

Just 2 points:

A - if UCF would take a 2-1 deal then they should be able to put that together. Last this was discussed Strickland wanted a 2-1. The news here is that UCF has just announced a change in their stance...we'll stay tuned.

B - those other teams aren't listed because college polls and be worked by winning lots of games in a row, regardless of the strength of those teams. UCF has won a bunch of games over the last 2 years against terrible teams. That's the answer.

Lastly - UCF could have been the Boise State of the last few years. Back in the 2000's everyone nationwide rooted for Boise State to win the big game. UCF had unfortunately been hard to root for even for those of us who would like to do so because they are so off putting.

I feel the same way, UCF is my home town school and I had always rooted for them as my "second team" but no more, they could have been cinderella

UCF's 2 for 1 deal; with the 1 in their on campus stadium is actually more profitable for Gators than the upcoming home & home with Univ Colorado.

NOTE: UCF's "samll stadium" is bigger than Vanderbilt's and within 4,000 seats of Colorado.

Folsom Field is the outdoor football stadium for the University of Colorado in Boulder. It has a searing capacity of 53,613 (since 2003), only 4,000 or so more than UCF.

There has been no mention of Folsom Field being too small for the Gators to play, even with the increased travel costs (air fare versus 112.6 mile bus trip) to get to Colorado. Gators will make far more money from UCF series !

Did I mention the altitude of Folsom Field ?

The playing field (natural grass) sits at an elevation of 5,360 feet (1,630 m), more than a mile above sea level.[4] Folsom Field is the third highest stadium in majorcollege football, behind only Wyomingand Air Force of the Mountain West Conference.

Through the 2016 season, the Buffs have a home record of 308–169–14, a winning percentage of .642. Team usually not that good, but the altitude is hell on opponents.

Perhaps some of the other posters should have done their homework, before yapping about UCF's stadium size.

UF does not travel well any more; few schools do. The 4,000 tickets UCF saves for opponents will probably be bought by Gators, there is no way in hell we carry 4,000 fans out to Colorado.

Other data of interest -
Vanderbily seating capacity - 40,550

Gators don't take any real number of fans to away games anymore, except Jacksonville, but I think that we should only play Vanderbilt at home until they expand their stadiums. LOL
